Ich bin ich
We loved this little cottage and the location, one of our most "Balinese" experiences we have had in our 9 months being here. It would suit budget travellers however be prepared for limited facilities and amenities, including limited hot water. A scooter or push bike would be recommended to explore the area and get into Ubud town
Bella and Dirk were very communicative and sweet in preparation to our stay at twin villa. The house is beautiful and you can tell they put in a lot of hard work. Overall, we enjoyed our time there. There were a few kinks that should be worked on, however. For example, they advertise it as being in Ubud--it is actually 15 minutes outside of town--this was disappointing for us, because it meant we had to hire a driver more than we wanted.
The listing also claims there is hot water and wifi, but when we stayed, they were still developing the hot water system and they gave us one flash drive to borrow and share amongst ourselves, which was inconvenient since we all work online.
Also, their on-site contact was nearly impossible to get a hold of.
Like I told Bella and Dirk, once these kinks are sorted, their listing updated and they have some clearer communication between their guests and staff, I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Dirk and Bella are a great team and together make wonderful, friendly and caring guests. They are open and sincere and make very enjoyable guests. We had fun and interesting conversations, exotic and tasty smoothies, good stories, cool guitar playing and all in all good humor. Glad to meet them both, hope to meet them again, and highly recommend you meet them, too, when you have the chance.
