I am a semi retired physician and have enjoyed recent travel in Europe. I look forward to offering an apartment attached to my home with its own entrance for travellers coming to the high desert in New Mexico. Interesting spots in this area include the UFO Museum, Bottomless Lakes, our wildlife Sanctuary for birds,Goddard Planetarium and several Art Galleries. We have Golfing Courses available here as well as the Spring River Zoo which is free. Within 1 1/2 hr drive we have the famous Carlsbad Caverns to the south, and a resort town, Ruidoso to the north with its very own Spencer Theater, as well as golfing and casino and their skiing area in the winter.The Sunspot Planetarium in Cloudcroft hosts scientific research from around the (website hidden) also has a 9,000 ft high golf course attached to The Lodge. On route is the Billy the Kid Museum in Lincoln. Smokey the Bear originated in Capitan on the way to the Volcanic fields in Carrizozo, with the Anasazi Petroglyphs in that area. The White Sands National Parks are near Alamagordo. Lots of sunshine all year round in this area.
