Love the space and host was great. Fantastic neighbourhood!
Alain's place was exactly as presented in his photos. It was clean and spacious. It was easy to check in and out. He was a great host.
Very nice, clean and comfortable apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much. The bus stop was right in front of the apartment which was very convenient to visit Montreal. We took bus 80 and was able to switch to different Metro stations and got around the city easily. Alain is a great host. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Montreal.
Alain's apartment was very nice and clean and we had a very pleasant stay. We were at a convenient location to visit our conference site. However, do note that it is about a 10 min walk to the nearest subway station.
A little word of warning: if you intent to stay with three people (in three separate beds) make sure to check with the owner that there are enough linens in the apartment. We ended up using the comforter to sleep on the couch (the fold-out bed did not seem very comfortable).
The neighbourhood was a bit off from the main commercial strips of Montreal and thankfully we had a car for a few days. Concerning the area, there was a night club across the street from the condo so on the weekends, it wasn't as quiet (plus there were a few police cars in front at times).
Within the unit, we were told that there were 2 beds enough to sleep 4 ppl. In the master bedroom there was a queen (I think) but in the 2nd bedroom, there was a twin bed with a cot with the saddest thinnest mattress pad. There was no way that someone could sleep comfortably on that. Eventually because my husband and I are small, we just shared the twin bed and put away the cot. Another issue was in regards to the bedding. Either it was not cleaned recently or not cleaned since the last guest, but there was hair and a musty smell. I had to wash and dry the sheets in order to feel comfortable using them.
The rest of the space was relatively clean but aside from a few dustballs. The space is fairly bare thou. Probably useful to bring your own toiletries.
Alain was a great host - met us at the apartment even though we arrived into Montreal quite late in the evening, and was able to help us find a place for late night food.
The apartment itself was absolutely perfect, about 15 min walk to the metro station and close to Little Italy! Lots of shops and cafe's nearby.
Would stay again!
The apartment is exactly as described. Very roomy, clean and it was a great experience. Thanks Alain.
Great host, although didn't meet him, we coordinated through phone/text. Place was safe/secure with available parking. Great host + great place!
Alain is an easy-going host. He responded quickly to all requests. The condo is new and bright. The location in Mile-End is perfect for exploring the neighbourhood, getting downtown, or getting across the city. Bus stops are mere steps away from the entrance. The metro is a 10-minute walk. Traffic noise from the street is very loud throughout the day and into the night, but the bedrooms are somewhat quieter because they're located at the back. Overall, the condo is neat and stylish. It lacks only a kettle for late-night tea.
Quiet guest and good communication. Welcome back any time!
Alain and his friends were great guests. I enjoyed having them in my home.
Lovely guests! hope they come and visit anytime soon!
