My husband Rob is an architect/developer and I work in IT at a large northern California utility company. We knew each other in our early teens and remained friends into our 20s. I married and moved to the West Coast and lost touch with him. 8 years ago we ran into each other completely serendipitously -- we were married in our garden at home 2 years ago, surrounded by friends and my 5 children and their families. In a sense, this trip is our honeymoon as we have been too involved with our lives to take time out to really enjoy adventuring with each other. We are both interested in art and architecture, as well as music where his tastes are more classically inclined and mine range from Monteverdi to the Grateful Dead. We love to hike and enjoy dinners with friends and good conversation. I'm interested in what I call urban anthropology--I like walking through neighborhoods, seeing where people buy their groceries and hardware, noticing where children go to school and play, etc. Rob loves sitting at a small cafe and watching the world go by. Although I have a (website hidden) and (website hidden) account, I rarely use them, and I long for an iPad. Rob is less technologically inclined.
