Eight years ago I traded the Tennessee hills for the big city thrills, and I've vowed to make the most of my time and travels ever since.
Traveling is, by far, my favorite thing to do. I believe it's essential to a fulfilling life. Mark Twain said it best — “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
My favorite places I've been include Ireland (where my relatives are from), Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Yellowstone National Park, Whistler Mt. British Columbia, Kenya, and more to come...
A few of my to-do's: Scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Snowboarding the Alps. Hot springs of Iceland watching the Northern Lights. Explore the fjords of Norway. Ride motocross on sand dunes of Dubai. Too many to list...
In between trips, I work as a creative director at an advertising agency. Good times, long hours, hence the need for regular escapes.
I'm in my fourth and absolute favorite apartment in Alphabet City / East Village. NYC apartments can be tough to make comfy and even tougher to feel like home. But this place finally feels right. I keep finding little ways to make it better and more homey, and I hope that makes for a more enjoyable and comfortable experience for anyone I get to host.
I'm so lucky to now call New York City home, and for the time you're here, hopefully staying at my place will help you do the same.
