Peaceful place to return to every evening.
Mark was very kind, met me at the studio, to show me how things worked.
It is an old apartment, and Mark has furnished it with wonderful period treasures..
The location is perfect, easy to get the subway and buses, and there are 24 hour grocery stores around the corner if you should arrive late.
Mark's studio is ideally located in the UWS and it's truly spacious! My wife and I spent a week there and could easily reach any place in manhattan by subway (a stop is 3 short blocks away) and walk across Central Park (also three blocks away).
Mark was very welcoming and accommodating with our arrival early on a Sunday morning (and graciously tolerant of our inevitable airline delay!).
I'd definitely recommend it to friends and family.
We stayed at Mark's amazing apartment during a recent holiday in New York. The first thing that we noticed upon arriving was the size - the apartment is massive for a New York studio. The next thing we noticed were the delicious muffins that Mark had left for us as a welcome present - something that was really representative of his hosting in general. We felt warmly welcomed, and Mark checked in with us via email a few days into our stay to make sure we were all ok. The apartment is stylishly decorated, with a comfy bed and fantastic bath and shower. The kitchen is also a great size, and definitely big enough to cook up a feast. But there is no need, as the apartment is surrounded by plenty of fantastic cafes and restaurants. Also a quick walk to the subway and Central Park. All in all, we would definitely want to stay at Mark's apartment on our next visit to New York.
This was my first time using Airbnb. Mark was gracious to make us feel welcomed in the apartment. He left us muffins and coffee. It was a very large studio apartment in a great spot in NY. I was able to walk and eat at a few of the local restaurants and city landmarks.
Mark and I met while working on a high profile project in NY back in 96. During our time together, I saw him handle stressful situations, that would weaken the strong, with ease and poise. He is gracious, humble, has an incredibly sense of humor and a high regard for friendship. I am honored to call him my friend these past 16 years.
