Chris's apartment is centrally located and provides a beautiful view of the city. We loved the open floor plan, floor to window ceilings and outdoor patio area. Upon our arrival, the apartment was not very clean and the towels and sheets weren't laundered so we had to do a bit of cleaning and laundry before we could explore, shower and sleep, which threw off our plans for our first day. To his credit, he did mention he had just switched cleaning services, was apologetic, and refunded our cleaning fee and partial day's stay for our inconvenience. There was a lot of delay in his response to our concerns during our trip because he was out of the country, but he did eventually make contact with us. Also, if you plan to park a vehicle on the streets you need a temporary residence permit from the local police department. According to the police station, you are supposed to have a copy of the lease or permission from the owner (?) to obtain a permit. Check this out ahead of time, because if it wasn't for a kind cop, we would have had to find some downtown public parking and take public transit to the apartment. Overall, a great place to stay while exploring DC.
Stunning apartment in a great location.
It really is as impressive in person as it looks on the airbnb photos. The panoramic views from the window, balcony and roof terrace must be some of the best in DC. Decor and furniture very cool and interesting - Chris has great taste.
I would absolutely stay here again and I can't imagine another place in DC that I would have preferred.
If you’re visiting DC, this is the place to stay…..No seriously, stay here. The loft space is amazing! It has a great view of the city (you can see several monuments), fantastic roof top deck and a private balcony. Chris has a great design sense, his apartment is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The building is located on Belmont right off of 14th street and is within walking distance to Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan & Logan Square. Meridian Hill Park is also a 2-minute walk up the block (Sundays have a wild drum circle) kind of groovy if you’re into that sort of thing. The Loft is also in close proximity to colorful U street ( 3 blocks away); I suggest taking a stroll all the way down 14th, there are fantastic restaurants, bar and boutiques all along the corridor. Zipcar stations are also within walking distance (get the mini cooper & thank me later). Chris was super communicative and very flexible in our check in and check out time. This was our second trip in DC and Chris made sure it was awesome, so seriously… stay here.

Great guests! They left the house in a good shape. Lovely chat with them. I would recommend them!
Chris and his friend (also Chris!) were great guests. They arrived as a last minute booking but kept us informed about their arrival time as they drove into the city. They were enthusiastic about the city and the location of the apartment. All in all they were perfect guests and we would be pleased to host them again.
A pesar de que solo se quedaron una noche Chris y Chris su amigo se comportaron de maravilla... creo que disfrutaron del barrio y del piso y eso para mi fue suficiente
Chris was a great guest, came to town for work; very quiet, respectful, clean, low key, friendly. Totally recommended.
