My husband Niall and I are not Edinburgh natives but have lived here for the past 10 years and really love this city. We will be able to provide lots of information on what to see, do and eat locally. I look forward to meeting you

Our group loved staying at Ruth's apartment. It a pretty short walk to anyplace you'd want to visit, clean and you get the entire apartment to yourself for a price much better than any hotel in the area. I generally felt pretty safe walking around at night as well. She also has a binder of useful information about public transportation, recommendations for local food and pubs in the area and a ton of Scottish travel guidebooks and brochures in case you need ideas of things to do. She was also very flexible on our arrival time when our train was unexpectedly delayed a few times on our ride over. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Edinburgh :)
My sister, her boyfriend and I stayed in Ruth's flat durning a trip to the UK, and it was an excellent place to base our travels in Scotland from.
Ruth was very welcoming when we arrived, and the flat was well stocked and prepped, including towels on te bed, some basic cookig ingredients (including eggs and milk) in the fridge and pantry, and games and travel guides in the living room.
Everything was neat and tidy, and made for a very homey travel experience.
If you've never been to Edinburgh before, the location served us excellently well both for staying in town (close enough to walk a lot of places, easy to catch a cab a short walk away) and good for when we wanted to leave town in our rental car (the flat includes parking fortunately!)
All in all, it was a wonderful experience - the stay was lovely, and the price was excellent! Would highly recommend!
The flat was fantastic! There were four of us (two couples) taking holiday in Edinburgh and we were very comfortable. The kitchen was just what we were looking for as we took turns cooking at night.
the apartment was clean, big and beautiful. We were two couple with a todller and we enjoy the flat and the hospitality of Ruth and Niall. The welcome was friendly and warm at the late hour which we check in. The house is close to the town center (a beautiful night walk) and the bus service is close to the house. The neighborhood was quite with the botanic garden close to the house.
Ruth and her husband were so very hospitable! Really good communication before and during stay. A nice modern & large flat in a very convenient area to see the sites and attend the Fringe. Thank you so much!!!
We were welcomed well by our host and the apartment was good. Very comfortable.
Ruth's flat is excellent! She was out of town during our stay but communicated well with me prior to our arrival and had a friend welcome us for easy check-in. The flat is very large with 2 beds, 2 baths, a kitchen (with laundry), and living room. The flat was very clean and Ruth left plenty of helpful information to aid in our exploration of the city and surrounding areas. There is also a parking space available but we had no need for it. Bars, restaurants, and bus stops are a quick walk away. We had a great time staying here during the Fringe!
This apartment worked very well for us two. It would be perfect and really inexpensive for four as well - two big beds and two bathrooms. It was 30 min walk to trainstation and central Princes Street and a bit longer to Royal Mile. Which is a bargain Ruth was away but arranged a friend to hand the key to us - that worked well. The place is rather quiet. Beds are comfortable. Internet was fast. Recommended.
Nice spacious apartment. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but makes for a nice walk. Ruth and Niall were great hosts.
The Appartment is very nice (as described) an very well situated for visiting Edinburgh! You can walk into the city center. And you can also catch a bus close to the appartment. We enjoyed the hospitality of Ruth and her husband. We were their first guests and we warmly recommend it to all who want to visit Edinburgh!!
