Living in the west of Ireland, blessed by good health, fair weather, gorgeous views of Galway Bay the Burren and the Aran Islands on the horizon, I am a lucky so and so. Glad to share the wonderful Connemara scenery with visitors to my house.

Brown Bread... .
.375 kg brown flour (whole wheat flour)
.095 kg white general purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda (bread soda)
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablesoon of mixed wheatgerm, sunflower seed, sesame seed, ortmeal (any/all)
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
.5 litre Buttermilk
Method. Mix all ingredients together, roughly using large spoon or by hand, mix should be gooey and moist...add more buttermilk or water if too dry.
Put mix into lined bread / loaf baking tin, rectangular or round.
Bake in pre-heated oven, 180 degrres, for 60 minutes. remove and let cool a little, remove from baking tin, air cool, covered with clean tea cloth. Leave overnight before eating. hmmmm, yum!
