Mirta is a great host, she was nice even when we arrived half an hour later because of the traffic :-) The listing is exact or I'd also say it's a bit too humble. The room is great, it's in a wonderful location, there is a parking space in the yard.. Neighborhood is quiet, it's the old town, everywhere is near there.
Mirta was a very nice host. She was available to communicate with me during the duration of planning and staying with her. She even picked me from the train station, and availed his brother to take me back to the station. Her house is as stated, well furnished, and very clean. It's in the nicest neighborhood, with easy access to all of Zagreb's major attractions, include: i rarely needed to used any vehicles even during the night. I would certainly highly recommend staying with her, and if i was to go back to Zagreb, her place would be number 1.
I had a wonderful stay at Mirtas apartment in Zagreb. Before I arrived Mirta gave me easy directions on how to get there. Once there Mirta made me feel very welcome. The apartment is located in the upper town/historic centre of Zagreb, close to everything that Zagreb has to offer. The apartment was clean and spacious. Would more than recommend Mirtas apartment to anyone visiting Zagreb.
Executive Summary: I really liked this place and will definitely come back :)
The hosts: Mirta's brother picked me up at the bus station by car and I spoke with Mirta over the phone - both were super friendly and easy going (with excellent English). Thanks again!!!
The location: SUPERB, at the top of the old centre.
The aparment: The place is bigger and even nicer than it looks at the pictures. All was very clean. The rooms are tastefully decorated with beautiful antique furniture. The were even some tea bags and instant coffee to use - I really appreciated it. I also agree with the comment made by a previous visitor that the place is surprisingly quiet, the nearby (excellent!) resto shuts down before 11pm over the weekend.
WIFI: There is a fast wifi, which I used a lot because I stayed in most of the time. At one point I got a message saying that I exceeded the network limit but after a 2-hour walk it worked again.
You must be asking why the price is low. It's because (i) the bathroom and a washbasin is across the common floor of the house, (ii) there is not much space for proper cooking (but it's not impossible) and (iii) the apartment is in an old stone house, as Mirta sais, which means that the outside wall tends to get a little wet. But honestly, none of these were an issue for me. Overall, what you get is really much more than the little money Mirta is asking :)
Mirta's place was great. I've been to Zagreb a number of times, but never stayed in the upper town before. Mirta's flat is perfect for exploring both the upper and lower part of the city.
As for the flat itself, everything is exactly as described -- it's spacious, comfortable and tucked away on a quiet street without much noise or bother. And Mirta was a gracious host -- excellent communicator, and even was willing to pick up from the airport despite a very late inbound flight on my part.
Mirta was very kind and welcoming. Her home was extremely convenient to all the major destinations in central Zagreb, which was a delight to explore! The space was large with lots of room to spread out and off the beaten path for when you need a quiet moment away from the hustle and bustle. I would highly recommend it!
Mirta offers a wonderful apartment from which to explore downtown Zagreb. She and her brother welcomed me warmly (despite me lacking a real way of communicating the day of arrival) into the place. She had prepared a very handy collection of maps and info about the city, as well as handwritten notes and personal recommendations! The apt. is large, private, and in a great location just a short walk away from the busy city areas. Her brother Hrvoje even drove me to the airport at the dark hour of 6am on my final day. They are really sweet people, and the place is a steal! Don't hesitate to stay here!
This place was just perfect, super clean and nicely furnished. The location in the upper city is great to discover the city and quite at the same time. There is a pub just 40m from the apartment with which I fell in love with.
Mirta is a warm, welcoming and super friendly person.
Full recommendation! I had a great time!
The apartment is absolutely lovely. The photos really do not do the place justice: the bedroom is a comfortable space separate from the living room, and although there is no kitchen, the little electric stove-top, fridge and utensils mean you can do self-catering. The bathroom is across the hallway, but this was no problem at all as the groud floor was effectively ours.
You could not ask for a better location. Being within the old city, there are a whole bunch of museums nearby, as well as plenty of cafe bars and a fruit and veg market a short walk away.
We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.
Mirta picked us up with her car. The apartment is perfect, next to the main things to be visited in Zagreb. We were really happy to stay at Mirta's place. Moreover, Mirta told us all the places we had to ser in the city. 100% recommendable.
