My life is my motivating creative force. I love a good endorphin rush and require myself to vacate the country at least twice a year to a place I've never before.

********I'm really good at********
-packing lightly
-solo travel: my first solo trip was in 2010 to South Africa before/during the World Cup! Was such an incredible experience that I vowed one solo trip a year. In 2011 I went to Guatemala, and in 2012 I went to Peru (all solo). 2013 found me exploring Bangkok and St. Petersburg on my own. Here in 2014 I've just sambaed my way through Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo Brazil. Reykjavick is up next!
-creating playlists for my travels
-thoughtful gift giving
-life hacking & finding time efficiencies
-cat chasing
-singing poorly (still love to sing!)

********Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food********
A tiny sampling of each...

Music: Asgeir, Nicolas Jaar, Darkside, Sohn, Little Dragon, XX, Beach House, Explosions in the Sky, Radiohead, Miike Snow, Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros, Hot Chip, Nina Simone, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, LCD Soundsystem, Massive Attack, Royksopp, Zero 7, Daft Punk, Moby, Ratatat, KCRW, singersongwriter, Jazz, electronic,

Books: Harry Potter, Born to Run, The 4-Hour Workweek, Eat Pray Love, Water for Elephants, Life of Pi, The Year of Magical Thinking, Confederacy of Dunces

Movies: Princess Bride, Coming to America, Fight Club, Food Inc.

Current Shows: The Daily Show, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock

Food: Yes! Anything from tiny taco stands to ten course meals. As long as the ingredients are fresh, I'm not picky. I am a pescatarian/sushitarian/vegetarian at restaurants. I keep it borderline vegan at home (the occasional goat cheese finds a way in). I'm a bit of an omnivore when traveling...I wouldn't want to miss out on connecting to an experience or culture due to normal dietary constraints.

********The six things I could never do without********
-lip balm
-my cats
-cruelty free products

Life motto: Trust your luck!
