I love Austin and love sharing Austin with other people! I recently returned to Austin from Brooklyn and appreciate Austin even more after the hectic pace of NYC. Austin has great food, music, people, and life here is easy.

Great location. Comfortable, clean living space. Friendly host. Overall awesome experience - thanks Laurel!
Laurel's house was awesome! I stayed here last weekend with two of my colleagues, and we found the accommodations very cozy and friendly -- just like staying at a friend's house.
The house itself was big, full of light, and very welcoming. We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed being close to downtown, but also a bit enough away from it to have quiet and privacy.
I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Austin.
This house was great. It was comfortable and had a backyard, which I always enjoy. It's clear that Laurel and Alex love music, which I thought was really cool!
It's not really walking distance from many of the things that we were doing, but it's an easy bus ride to downtown and a cheap cab to all sorts of different Austin attractions. That being said, we had a rental car and that helped a lot. I suppose in Austin most people have cars, so this might not be an unexpected downside.
Laurel was a terrific host. She communicated well and in a timely manner, everything was set up as promised, and I appreciated the little notes she left around the house :)
Laurel and her room mate were so welcoming and easy to work with. The house is a perfect location with easy access to all the fun things Austin has to offer.
Really sweet girls live here! It was great that they were able to accommodate me on short notice. The location is great and this would be a fun place to stay if you are looking to hang out on campus.
The only thing was that before I decided to stay here, they had a wine/book club party that night at their house. I did not see a note on this as the communication was so fast, that there were two messages I missed. So I was a little surprised about the party when I arrived. I would have stayed somewhere else so I could have rested well. Also, I have a dog so I'm used to it, but I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are looking for a clean place, as they have two dogs and there was a lot of hair in the house. Also, there was no breakfast provided unfortunately, but they did leave coffee to make out for me in case.
Again, really sweet and friendly girls and I was generally happy the whole time.
Laurels house was exactly as described with photos. An amazing and beautiful space, everyone greatly enjoyed the stay. Efficient communication from start to finish. I definitely recommend her house while in Austin.
Laurel and her husband are very nice guests. I had a great experience with them. Thanks!
Happy to have had you here in Vernazza
all the best,
Laurel is one of the most super awesome-est friends a person could have. I probably don't have enough space here to gush about her, so I'll get straight to the business part.
Laurel and I lived together for a few weeks during her move back to Austin from NY. She was always fun to have around and treated my home with respect. Each day Laurel would do thoughtful little things around the house to make living with her a real treat.
Now she lives two blocks away from me and it's great having her in the neighborhood for good. Laurel and her roommate Susie have a really cute house that is well kept and always inviting. Every time they have me over for dinner, I notice something new they have done decoration wise that really shows how much Laurel (& Susie) care for and enjoy their home.
I have know Laurel for 5 years and it feels like I have know her forever. We have shared many good times together. Riding bikes, sharing delicious food, dancing at the local honky-tonk. Laurel is a gracious host with great recommendations and she will probably have a fresh-baked loaf of bread waiting for your arrival. One of my favorite memories is from her holiday Boyz II Men party. We made candy cane canes and bedazzled 90s v-neck sweaters. The night ended with an R & B temper tantrum to "I'll Make Love To You." Laurel lives in a great location close to all the action.
