I'm an artist. My home's a giant gallery & summer camp for adults. There's tons of odd objects & art for you to peruse. There's also tons of work for me, to preserve & revive a 100+ year old, imperfect but beautiful "masterpiece" - so some projects are always at the half-way point.

I have my own business & work a LOT, mostly from home, sometimes in pajamas. I'm kind of a hippy, & definitely a humanist pinko leftycrat - but wait, there's more! - as founder of America's largest future institute, American Family Happily Institute, I can get you in the history books (if you want)! Like most artists, I don't mix well with social conservatives (my art satirizes 'family values' think tanks).

Chatting with guests is fun - depending on our mutual moods & schedules. I try to have at least one conversation with most guests if they are amenable - it makes life richer. But in stressful periods/when i have a lot of work to do/deadlines, I might not have time/energy to socialize, and guests shouldn't take it personally if sometimes I keep more to myself. This house has many nooks & spaces for people to feel free & easy while working or relaxing separately, as well as placed to come together for socializing.

Mostly I’m pretty quiet. The neighborhood itself is mostly Extremely quiet. But there are times when I'm up late working, particularly during deadline periods, and I often have one or two other humans working with me, and we talk together. This house was built in 1904 and has some sound transmission issues - if you are obsessed with quiet, it May not be a good fit.

I grew up in the 'heartland' but am now a long-time Bostonian & happy to share the low-down on cool stuff around here. We’re in a peaceful hidden spot surprisingly only 30-45 min. from most of greater Boston metro areas. There's plenty of restaurants & many 'things to do' within about 10-20 minutes' too. In walking distance, there’s the bus, the beach, some woods, a convenience store, the post office, a pizza place, and peace…

Je parle un peu de francais! My partner, Jean-luc, is moving in at the end of August and he is fluent in French and German.
