I am originally from the heartland, more specifically iowa. i have been proudly calling Seattle home for a little over 5 years. Besides practicing landscape architecture i enjoy yoga and riding my bike.
coffee is a must for the day to start.

Great location, clean apartment, safe building, easy check in/out, easy communication with host. Very spacious and the bed and couch are extremely comfy. I stayed here alone but it could easily hold three or four people. Though be aware that the walls are thin in this apartment, you can hear all the neighbors. It's not horrible by any means, but it's noticeable.
Judy is a great host with a wonderful condo that I'll stay in again! She was easy to communicate with, provided all the information I needed, while not interrupting my weekend of R&R.
The condo is in a great part of town, walkable to a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. When I didn't want to walk, I could get to anywhere in downtown Seattle or Capitol Hill for less than $10 with Uber and Lyft. The condo has great views, comfortable seating, a large bed, and everything you need to enjoy Seattle.
I stayed in Seattle for 4 weeks, so I was looking for a comfortable place, which I could feel most at home at. Unfortunately, there were a few major things that made the stay unpleasant and generally made me avoid spending time in the apartment. In more details:
Pros: The apartment was in a good location, from which you can easily access restaurants, nightlife spots, shopping areas, transportation and really all the essentials. Judy was quick to respond to all my messages, so communication was very easy.
Cons: The worst thing for me was that the place was very unclean. The insides of the kitchen counters were covered with some thick black sticky dirt, which despite my best effort I was not able to clean and I gave up on using the utilities altogether. The bed sheets and towels had not been changed since the last visitor, which is completely unacceptable for me. And on top of everything else, on my last day I found a pair of dirty socks in one vase...
Another drawback was the building itself - it was quite old, so the floors were squeaking very loudly. The isolation was not good, so it was cold inside and you could hear everything that was going on in the neighbors. I was waking up with the people in the apartment above, whose alarm clock I could hear at 6 am.
Lastly, the furniture in the apartment was old, so a lot of things kept shaking when you touch them (e.g. wardrobe, iron board, etc.), which made me feel a bit dizzy.
The description of the unit was accurate and the neighborhood was great. It was a little noisy on the weekend when the bars let out, but not too bad. Picking up the key in the lock box was easy.
Judy was always responsive and very helpful when I contacted her. The apartment is located in a great area and I found it easy to get to most parts of the city just by walking (within 20 min). And she had HBO Go, which was a real plus!
Lovely apartment in great neighborhood. Nice view and lovely terrace. Kitchen well stocked with all the staples.
Nice place in a very good location. Walking distance to everything. Judy is very accommodating.
Really liked this place. You can tell Judy fits in perfectly to the Cap hill life by the decor of her place. The apartment is trendy, neat, and has a good view of the space needle. The building does have a little funk to it but it's kind expected in these older buildings.
We didn't meet Judy, however, we didn't need to as we found the keys relatively easily just a block away from the apartment - which was very convenient seeing as we were arriving late at night. Our trip from the train station was quick and easy via taxi, too!
The apartment itself is in a great location, located close to town. The neighbourhood is fantastic, offering some lovely local bakeries and restaurants that we frequented during our stay. We also recommend the local barber - really great service!
The apartment looks exactly like the image, and accommodated us well - although there was a strange odour throughout the apartment. The unit felt slightly unclean too, and we were a little disheartened to find the MP3 player and heater either broken or missing.
For the price we paid, however, we still had a great stay - we used the high-speed internet a lot, and also frequented the Netflix account on the television, too. It was affordable for Seattle as a location!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Judy was a great guest. She left the place in great shape and was easy to communicate with. I would have her back anytime!
Judy was an ideal guest. She was respectful of my home, communicated promptly and clearly with me, and left my home in perfect shape. I'd love to host her again next time she is in town.
I've stayed at Judy's place 3 times and each time it is clean and well taken care of. It's spacious enough for a city apartment and is in great walking distance of many amenities (including downtown) - or bus route if you prefer that. I'd highly recommend staying here anytime!!
I've known Judy since college and always enjoy meeting up with her when my travels take me to Seattle. She is very knowledgeable about the area around her apartment and always has a good vibe on events and new establishments throughout Seattle. I have traveled to many destinations throughout the US with Judy and she always seems to find a hidden gem for everyone in the group to enjoy. A gracious host and a great friend!
