I'm from Montana, Colorado, and California... I'm a fashion designer who love's travel, art and making ideas take form.
The apartment looks same as on the photos, it has it's own style and charm. The location is perfect: close to subway, there are a lot of bars and restaurants around. At the same time it's perfect place for the rest after a long New York day as it's very quite.
We never met Lindsey in person, but she was a great host anyway. Very helpful and flexible with arrival/departure times, and made arrangements for us to pick up the keys at the nearby City Copilot which worked flawlessly when we arrived close to midnight.
The apartment itself is very comfortable and welcoming. It was very cold when we visited NYC so the hot water in the pipes and the kettle for making hot drinks was much appreciated.
The apartment looks like the pictures – what you see is what you get! :-) The toilet is old, fills up very slowly and noisy, but besides that, we found the apartment to be very charming.
The location cannot be beat. Great neighborhood, we didn’t feel disturbed by street noise or neighbors. Walking distance to 2 subway stations for exploring the rest of NYC.
Victoria was great! She let me in early and was super easy to coordinate. Her place has a ton of charm and is in one of the best parts of the city. It's a a great LES experience.
I loved staying at Victoria's studio apartment in the East Village. The bars, restaurants and boutiques in the vicinity ooze cool from every pore. The legendary Katz Deli is across the road, the best Whole Foods in the city is a 5 minute walk away, and SOHO is a hop, skip and a jump. If you want to leave this cool neighbourhood (although I can't imagine why you'd want to) the F line is two blocks away.
The host Victoria was friendly and went out of her way to ensure that I was content with the accommodation. What more could you ask for?
This is New York City! Manhattan - Lower east side. So the street is noisy and the neighbours are loud, all completely out Lindsey's control. The apartment is comfortable and in an amazing location. Close to local restaurants and bars (upstairs from some great ones)! And close to the subway.
Lindsey was very helpful before and during our stay, and extremely accommodating of cancelled/changed flights (thank you so much!).
Victoria took good care of our apartment while she was here. She communicated easily and followed all check out instructions. She and her assistant were considerate of our shared spaces and close proximity.
Lindsey stayed only 3 days, in that short time we met a enthousiast person with a great interrest in allmost everything in Amsterdam. From djogging in the Vondelpark early in the morning to visit all kinds of new starting shops with fresh idees.
Lyndsey is a great guest.
It was a pleasure to host Lindsey at the Wolvenstraat, the place was left in a good state, clean and tidy, and I would recommend her to others.
