I like to think of myself as a renaissance man... I love sports, both as a spectator and participant. Right now, marathons are my passion, but I also grew up as a competitive tennis player, and til this day, I still share passion for the game I played for most of my life. Traveling to destination marathons seems to be the thing for me to do. Is there a better way to see a city than a 26.2 mile stroll on foot?
Drawing, painting, and sculpting are not my thing, but I love photography, black and while to be precise, and to be really petty, black and while film photography (the kind that uses chemicals and a darkroom). Digital photography is the present and future, but there's a look and style to film that is different than its modern counterpart. The fact that film takes longer to work with makes the process more fulfilling. I also play the piano, and I sang in the choir in college, where I was also known to do some Filipino folk dancing.
Nothing is as relaxing as baking. Cookies, lemon bars, flan, creme brulee, cobblers and crisps, and even a cake once in a blue moon. Okay, so the cake isn't exactly relaxing to make, but everything else is. As long as I have people to share them with, it's all good. Fettucine alfredo, chicken marsala, seared scallops with wine reduction sauce are also among my favs. Chicken adobo and eggrolls are fun to make too.
