I recently stayed here for my bachelorette weekend in Charleston. Catherine's description of the house was pretty accurate and the detailed instructions made everything super easy.
The house feels very homey and comfortable and was really quite nice. The neighborhood is really cute and felt very safe. Even though it's a bit of a drive from the downtown Charleston area, there were plenty of great spots in Mt. Pleasant for food and whatnot. We still spent most of our time in the downtown area though and the drive was easy. I would love to stay here again in warmer weather when I could make better use of those lovely porches.
Great place for family to stay, exactly as described. Nice neighborhood to come back and relax after spending the day in Charleston. Convenient to city and other attractions while visiting the area.
The reservation was canceled 33 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The house was great! It is clean, attractive, well-appointed and comfortable. It is easily accessible from airport and close to the city and beaches. Catherine was prompt and helpful answering questions. We were not disappointed. Thanks Catherine!
We found this space just as we imagined--cute, well-cared for and with a kitchen stocked with all the pans/implements for cooking meals. The neighborhood is a quiet development with nice streets for a bike ride, and within 30 minutes of beaches, downtown Charleston and many seafood restaurants. Catherine was quick to respond while making the reservation and very helpful.
Very clean and beautiful house, quiet neighborhood.
Catherine's home was perfect for the week we were in Charleston. It was a good size for a family, with plenty of room for children and a great neighborhood with sidewalks and afternoon shade. (Have your kids bring scooters/skateboards; very little traffic comes through. My kids loved exploring.) The commute into Charleston was about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic and easy access to other sights nearby. Harris Teeter and Whole Foods, as well as Wal-Mart, are all close by for food shopping. Beds were super comfortable! Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. And the crazy weather gave us a chance to use both air conditioning and heat on different days - both of which kept us very cozy. Two things to keep in mind - we use AT & T cell service but for some reason this neighborhood was not covered by AT & T so our cells didn't work in the house, just an FYI for ATT users. The other reminder is to bring DVDs as there is no cable (some great children's movies in the house, though). Catherine was incredibly responsive and helpful the 2 times we had questions during the trip - responding almost upon receipt of our text/email. She was lovely to work with and we appreciated the use of her beautiful home. For visitors, we recommend Melvyn's for BBQ and Page's Okra Grill for some fantastic Southern cooking. If you want some trendy "small plates," give Graze a try. Thanks, Catherine and family!!!
It was a pleasure having Catherine staying at our condo. Everything was well taken care of.
