Southside Guesthouse was perfect. Comfortable, clean, lovely relaxing areas, amazing breakfast. Katia was out of the way helpful (she organised a dentist appointment for me and also came to translate), kind and friendly. We were travelling as a family and the room was perfect for us. Highly recommended.
Great place to stay. Lovely shaded garden with hammocks to relax in and a friendly cat and dog to hang out with. Ideal to at the end of your stay in Kyrgyzstan. It's 3-4 km from the centre, but Mira avenue is less than 5 minutes walk away, and from there you can get buses and marshrutkas with ease. Not all rooms have air conditioning though, so be sure to ask when you book. Recommended.
My wife and I had one night in Bishkek, on transit from Mongolia. The airport transfers (both ways) were punctual and safe; our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The common room was well equipped with tea, coffee & snacks, and the guesthouse is quiet and away from traffic noise. It has a pretty garden and a friendly cat. Katia was friendly and helpful, and gave us excellent advice about spending an evening in town. It is quite a long walk into town, especially when so hot (38°C), but we chose that rather than taxi because we had many hours in a plane to work off. Breakfast was excellent, especially the home grown and processed apple juice! Overall a positive experience, and we will definitely stay again. Thank you, Katia!
Katia and Patrick are great hosts in a wonderful guesthouse in the south of Bishkek. This is a great place to relax with a nice garden and comfy rooms. Recommended!
Katia was great host to us, not only for accommodation in Bishkek itself, but especially in helping us to plan a multi-day hiking trip, to find an experience mountain guide, and so on. Great help in all respects.
A wonderful guesthouse - beautiful, well-located, easygoing, and then of course there's the garden and the hammocks... Patrick and Katia are super-helpful. Breakfast is delicious, and you have coffee, tea and pastries out all day. Highly recommended!
Terrific breakfast and laid-back hosts, as ever. Homey without oppressiveness. Tranquil - a great place for a writer to get work done.
Warm and friendly guesthouse, just like the owners. The place is pleasant and comfortable with a family atmosphere. We met interesting people coming from all over the world. The room and shared areas were very clean. Nice breakfast too.
The owner give good advice about the city and activities to do around.
It was exactly what we expected :)
Thanks again for this lovely stay.
Thank you for a smooth start to our Kyrgyz journey! The place is great in every way. Would love to come back!
Katia and her husband Patrick were super helpful. Their guesthouse while not in the centre is close by and it's easy to get to all the main sights. Best of all the guesthouse was very clean and had a communal area where you could hang out and chat to other travellers. I would highly recommend staying here.
