Born and raised in the city of Chicago, Carlos studied business communication at the University of Illinois. After graduation he realized his passion for advertising would best be fulfilled by studying Art Direction at the Miami Ad School. Many Photoshop days later, an internship at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, a few years at Deutsch, Carlos was charged with helping integrate the digital and traditional account of FedEx; Initially at Atmosphere BBDO, then at BBDO New York.
After 2 years of making apps, rich media units, online shows, micro-sites, brand channels, and some unconventional stuff on Flickr and eBay, it was time to move on: After his first year at JWT Carlos managed to produce 10 commercials, most of which were for Microsoft Bing. Now he is a lead creative on the global account for Royal Caribbean with a new campaign to launch in 2012.
Carlos is an avid traveler and documenter of life. Traveling to over 60 countries, he enjoys being reminded that life is a wonderful thing.
He also collects matchbooks, commission’s paintings, is a host for networking parties, will start his own company and has a weird obsession with the number 37
