I enjoy hanging out with the family, creating adornment in the form of jewelry, growing flowers and food, riding my motorcycle, experiencing new places, cultures, people, frequenting farmer's markets, hearing local musicians, hiking, cooking, singing, dancing.
I started working with plants in High School, went to college where I earned a B.S. in Agriculture and began farming when I had my first child. My focus was dried flowers, wreaths, herbs and herbal products and edible flowers for Asheville area restaurants. I farmed, frequented farmer's markets and craft shows for 20 years. After our children were grown my husband and I went on a caretaking adventure internationally for 4 years traveling and working in Costa Rica, Panama, Arkansas, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines and on the Oregon Coast. When we returned home in 2011, we decided to turn our house into a vacation rental to provide a place for fellow travelers to visit and experience our part of the world we love so much. We have incorporated weavings, art and momentos of our time in other parts of the world to add an international, eclectic flair and love to share this with others.
