The apartment was nice and cosy - situated in a central area, close to the train station and with excellent access to public transport.
We enjoyed our stay a lot - there was everything we needed there - a small kitchen, wi-fi, a nice balcony where we had our coffee in the morning.
My husband and I loved Aachen and Alex's place is in the perfect location. He is very very good at communicating as we had issues with the key to get in and the power going out. We were able to resolve everything. The place is tiny, but comfortable. The street is noisy, but for heavy sleepers, not a problem. You can tell a guy lives here . . . by that I mean, we agree with other comments on cleanliness.
Our stay in Aachen was great. The apartment is very central so you can walk to the centre in 15mins and parking didn't seem to be a problem for us. Although the apartment is small it was a fine space for the pair of us and for our duration of stay (4 days). The wifi worked well and Alex was a very responsive and easy to communicate with host.
I'd also agree with other reviews that it could be cleaner as it is definitely a "lived in" apartment but in saying that its clear what you're getting before you book it and overall its very good value for money and is a comfortable place to be after a busy day sightseeing. The 'smaller' size of the bed didn't bother us at all as the mattress was very comfortable! All the bedding and towels were clean which is always important to us. i would definitely recommend this place for one person or a couple to stay for a few nights and see Aachen! Thanks Alexander!

Alex was a very nice guy and responded to communications promptly. We didn't meet him in person, but it was simple enough to pick up/drop off the key at the kiosk down the street.
If you need an inexpensive place to stay that is not too far from the center, then Alex's place will work for you. Expect to stay in a "lived-in",small home big enough for 1 or 2 people. The apartment is on a very busy street across from a hospital and the balcony overlooks this street. If you are accustomed to traffic/siren noise or are a heavy sleeper this will be fine for you.
Aachen is a beautiful city and we were happy to be able to visit.
Alex's Appartment is well situated. You can walk pretty much everywhere. Parking is not always easiest, but i am sure Alex has a few tips on that if you ask him. The Apartment is really small but for one person very suitable. Two people work if you are really close friends or partners. The Apartment could definately be cleaner in terms of hoovering and dusting. But there were clean towels and sheets. Alex was always quick to answer and was very helpful.
Alex's apartment is ideally located for transport, a short bus ride to the main station and city centre. It was easy to pick up the keys from the convenience store. Alex was helpful although we didn't meet him, he was available through the Internet.
Alex is really helpfull and gives quick answers, when you have questions. The apartment is welcoming and makes you feel at home. There was internet, clean sheets and towels. The key delivery was at our convenience and problem-free. Definitely approved ;)
Very nice place for a short stay in Aachen (5 days). Alexander is a friendly guy whom you can trust to share information and advices for your trip.
The flat is composed of a small kitchen where you can cook simple dishes, the sofa for two people will allow you to have a nice moment in front of the big tv screen with all german channels.
The bed maybe small for two (120 or 140 cm) and you can not stand on the mezzanine.
Nevertheless, you will have a nice stay in the flat.
Thank you Alexander and I recommend it for sure especially for students or young people

If you are in Aachen and you like art, don't forget to go visit the Ludwig Forum in the old umbrellafactory.
