My husband and I and two other couples spent Valentines Day weekend here, the home was perfect.
Couldn't imagine a more beautiful place or a better host. Thanks, Andrew!
Wonderful place to get away but still feel like home, the house is completely equipped with everything you need and then some. Stay here, you'll love it!
This was our first trip to Vermont and it was wonderful, Andrew's house is beautiful and secluded , with lot of privacy , this house is very clean, with a lot of natural light . We are so happy that we choose this house. Just a few minutes to downtown Brattelboro, also there is a Diner ( 5 min)where you can find fresh farm eggs for breakfast and they also have have grass feed hamburguers. We will love to come in the fall !
This gorgeous Vermont home was an absolute dream to stay in. We visited with a group of 6 close friend from NYC and it was the ideal peaceful getaway we were anticipating.
The house was so carefully and thoughtfully put together with all of the things we needed. Fully stocked and open kitchen where we cooked all of our meals, a cozy jacuzzi bathtub, and all of the blankets and pillows to keep us warm in the wintery weather. The wood stove was brilliant, the speaker set up allowed us to play great tunes, and the apple tv helped us wind down the nights with a movie.
The neighbor Mary was the most helpful and welcoming person. She helped provide firewood, recommended places to eat, and lent us enough pairs of snow shoes for us all to venture out for a winter picnic.
Highly highly recommend this gem to anyone!
Lovely super private house was perfect for a weekend getaway. Mary was available for any questions we had. The kitchen was fully stocked and perfect for cooking and we loved the wood stove. The nearby town of Brattleboro was super cute and there were plenty of restaurant options. The dirt roads leading up to the house were very steep and may be hard to maneuver in the winter weather. We really loved our stay here.
The house was perfect. It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay and was in a quiet location but close enough to Mount Snow and Brattleboro to still be convenient. Andrew and the neighbor/caretaker Mary were responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We didn't have any issues getting up the steep dirt roads, but I can see that being a minor problem if there is snow and ice.
All in all, our experience couldn't have been more positive and I plan on using this as a "home base" for future long weekend ski trips.
6 of us stayed for a full week during mid-December and we really enjoyed the house! The house was as described, and would like to stay at the house again in the future. A neighbor helped us with the fire place and was available via phone/text as needed.
This was a lovely home, with a nice kitchen for cooking-no worries about not finding the right pots and pans or utensils.
We enjoyed the fireplace and found the house to be a great place to relax. Everything went very smoothly, from the host's communication, to the caretaker looking out for us.
We'd love to return for another trip.
This cabin is beautiful inside and out. It was easy to find with our gps and in a secluded setting yet close to grocery stores, (website hidden) was very neat, clean and well stocked with towels, blankets and anything you would need to cook with. The woodburning stove was simple and straightfoward to use, and we had a fire burning the entire visit. The Jacuzzi tub worked great and it was nice fo have a washer and dryer to use. Our two labs had the run of the surrounding area and seemed quite contented inside or out. Mary is very nice and helpful with anything you need or questions you may have. We felt very much at home Andrews Place.
