great host ... great stay . . . great neighborhood . . . everything as advertised . . . our stay was excellent in all respects
My experience with Scott was very pleasant. I enjoyed his receptive, congenial, and helpful manner. He often inquired of my needs and was gracious about sharing his environment.
This being my first experience booking a space in a private home, I was quite self-conscious of my presence yet, I soon felt comfortable. The room provided was a perfect space : near the kitchen, living room, semi-private entrance, and the full bath, which was for my use only, was just next to the bedroom.
As I (email hidden), I cannot comment about the convenience to public transportation. Scott's neighborhood, and his yard, is definitely what I would call Portland Beautiful...lush, flowered and alive! His house is located central to his block on a quiet street...no traffic noise.
I highly commend Scott and, of course, recommend his accommodation for a single or a couple.
Scott and Suzy were lovely hosts and their home was warm and welcoming. We spent most of our time out and about, so we did not get the pleasure of spending too much time with our hosts. But they offered great suggestions for the neighborhood, and the location was great for walking - even in the rain. The whole stay was very comfortable.
Our stay in Scott's place over Christmas was fantastic. The place is huge! So much room and a great fully equipped kitchen to cook our Christmas lunch. The location is great, it's a short walk down to shops and the free shuttle bus to the mountain is a few minutes walk away up the hill. We would love to come back and stay here again.
Scott & Suzi are incredible hosts and few experiences has showcased, so powerfully, the wonder of AirBnB.
The room and the bath were absolutely perfect, precisely what I needed. . . . neat, clean and comfortable.
But, for me, one of the major attractions was that I was coming to see my son and his family who live about 1 block away.
Not only did I save about $500 a night from the last downtown hotel I stayed in visiting Portland, but I had better accommodations, better hospitality, no rental car and was moments from where I wanted to be . . with my family.
I'd jump at the chance to stay with Scott and Suzi again but even if I can't, I'd stop by to say hello. It really was like staying with old friends. I can't say enough good about the experience.
This is my third stay at Scott's ski house - we use it as a great base for a workshop I run in town. Always clean and uncluttered, room for many and lovely walk to town.
We had a great time staying at Scott's place. Walking distance to the main street in Rossland and only 100 m to the mountain bike trails. The house had been nicely renovated inside and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place. Can't wait to come back during the winter.
Scott and Suzi were awesome! They accommodated our later than planned arrival and were friendly and warm. the house was very clean and tidy with a beautiful garden. We had a bathroom right next to our room, and in the corner so it felt private, too. One caveat is to just notice they have a futon, as they have described in their posting. They had fancy toiletries, in case you forgot your shampoo or toothbrush. Of course it's a really great price too!
Scott and Suzi were great hosts! The place was cozy and they were both really friendly and accommodating. Extra bonus of their awesome yard!!
overall, excellent hospitality
Thanks, Scott! Thanks, Suzi! This was just what I was looking for: quiet, comfortable, great location. And a great price. For anyone considering this, I can't recommend it highly enough. Suzi and Scott were really welcoming and easy-going. The room has everything you need - including a great bucket of maps and snacks. You've got your own bathroom, which has a great big bathtub. The location was great for checking out the bars and restaurants along Division and it was a quick and easy ride on the number 4 bus into downtown Portland. Also of course just blocks from the house is Mt Tabor - a big, beautiful park with a view of Mt. Hood from the top - perfect for a morning run.
Scott and Suzy were great guest. They are friendly and comfortable to be around. They would be welcomed back anytime.
Thanks for staying at my place!! It was a pleasure:)
Scott was a great guest, very clean and respectful. It was easy to communicate our plans and everything went smoothly.
