I am a lecturer at Columbia University in New York (check my (email hidden)/~ks2884). I got my Ph.D. in Cultural Psychology at Stanford University and now teach business negotiations to MBA students, while pursuing my cross-cultural research. I love to visit other countries and to spend time with local people, rather than in hotels. So Crash Padding at someone's home is the best vacation I can hope for!
My interests are an odd bunch. Being an academic, most of my time goes in talking, thinking, and writing (in that order of importance). My most favorite hobby is calling people home for dinner - sharing the product of one's thought and hard work with another person, having a nice conversation, making someone happy, is one of the most enjoyable parts of life. I also do yoga as regularly as possible. I like keeping up with what's happening around the world - from the unemployment rate in Spain to the new elections in Chile. I also love the outdoors - hiking, camping, taking a shower under a waterfall, sleeping on the grass, you get it. I also love cats, although I have not had the option to keep a pet cat at my home the last few years.
