The house was clean and in good condition, good base for touring the surrounding wine country. The hills offer marvelous sceneries, once you drive around.
Great house in the countryside of Italy's wine region in the North. We had a great weekend staying here, visiting the surrounding wineries, towns, and attractions. The food in this region is amazing.
The property was perfect for all of us (two couples and a small dog), and not having a TV was really refreshing. We spent the evenings around the dining room table playing cards and drinking local wine.
The only downside to the house was the second room doesn't have a door. Privacy wasn't an issue but noise might be a problem if someone snores.
The house was absolutely beautiful, very well kept, clean and stocked with all necessities. We had some problems finding it, however, because we drove directly there ourselves and there is some confusion with the house number. I would recommend you meet the host in town instead as some other guests have mentioned. Overall a lovely experience!
Grazie!
We had an excellent time in Alba and its surroundings. It's a great area to go hiking, mountain biking or to just enjoy the beautiful scenery and the many little villages. We spent three nights at this lovely country house which is situated in a remote area perfect for relaxing (apart form the dogs barking!). The house is nice and big, it's well kept, clean and has a comfi bed (lots of duvets, pillows and towels are provided). It is necessary to have a car to get there, it's a 10 minutes drive from Alba. Andreas kind aunt met us in town and showed us the way to the house. She doesn't speak English and we don't speak Italian, therefore communication was a bit hard although we managed with sign language and Spanish (unfortunately we didn't find the restaurants she pointed out to us due to lack of understanding). We would have loved to stay longer and can highly recommend this place!
Bon accueil, dans la campagne tranquille italienne, maison toute équipé et bien soignée.
We had a great time in the Alba area! This house is super: beautifully renovated and well kept and we would have loved to stay there longer. It is in a more remote location (with a great view from the gardens over the surrounding area) but within short distance of many great places to visit. Andreas' aunt and mother are the most lovely people and they kindly helped us with finding our way around and gave us great tips for restaurants and wine houses.
This remote, renovated farm house suited our family of five perfectly. It is large and very well appointed, with wine, preserves and plenty of firewood provided. We were greeted effusively by Andreas's aunties who got as well settled and gave excellent restaurant suggestions.
We went for lovely walks with stunning views over viewyards and hazel orchards across to the snow-covered Dolomites that started right at the door. It is ideally located for exploring the wine country, then coming back home to a roaring fireplace. Torino was an easy day trip away.
But be careful. You MUST have a car. Public Transport is not an option as this is quite remotes. Bakeries and grocers are a 7 minute drive away along a windy hillside road. We were able to get an acceptable wifi signal from the main bedroom balcony.
We loved it here and recommend it for foodies with a car who want to truly relax.
We spent two nights in this adorable apartment in the Piedmont hills, a 10min drive from Alba. Nestled in the countryside among the hazelnut groves, the apartment is near many incredible restaurants and beautiful sights.
Very good communication late notice of booking. Andreas Aunt met us and despite no common language she was very helpful and kind to us and loved the kids! Very generous hosts.
House was beautifully refurbished and excellent value. Would have liked to stayed longer.
Very nice and polite guy! Andreas just leave to me good impresion. Hope that one day he can return to my house :)
Andreas is a wonderful guest very polite and a gentelman. I would leave him my place with my eyes closed
Really good guest! Nice, Polite, Clean and Smiley. So I have nothing bad to say about him...
Andrea is a great person! Polite, tidy, respectful, honest and very very funny! I met him in Malaga through common friends and we became immediately friends. We shared an apartment for a few weeks and everything was great. It's a pleasure sharing time and place with a person like Andrea.
