Nice place well located (20mn to Midtown) and flexibility for arrival and departure are very much appreciated. Antonio answered quickly to all questions which makes things easy. Being on 5th floor is a bit difficult with the luggage but after few days we can manage.
Antonio is a great host! Though I have never met him there is always a feeling that Antonio is next door and ready to help you on any issue)
As for the apt - it is located perfectly, you can easily get anywhere you want in the city what is the most important thing for a tourist)
It is a nice, comfortable, well decorated apartment, located in quiet family oriented neighborhood, 2 mts walk to the metro, with a direct line, which will take you down town in less then 20 minutes.
Antonio is absolutely a great guest, very nice and alwais very prompt responding by mail for any kind of problem!
The hause is sweet and very comfortable, clean and quite.
It is close to subway A and C (175 st) and at ten minutes on walk from 168 st with 1. 7 minutes on working place (I worked at athe columbia medical centre). The only inconvenient is that the apt is at the 5 floor but no (email hidden)ce for fitness!!!
Great stay at Antonio's place! Clean apartment, nice sheets, towels, super-comfortable bed, very nice kitchen which allowed us to save some money in restaurants. "A" train around the corner... I discovered a new neighborhood in Manhattan which I love. Most of all, I would recommend this apartment because Antonio was very professional, reliable, and very helpful with many advice. His response rate during our stay 100%. His sister, who gave us the key to the apartment called us the day we left to have feedback on our stay. I though that was very nice.
Thank you Antonio and family.

I went to NYC to work at the Columbia medical center for 10 day and so needed to stay at specifically at Washington heights. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted with Antonio’s sister in law – although we had arrived late, she still was happy to take us on a tour around the neighborhood and showed us around … places to shop and eat etc. … she was super sweet. The location is great, near grocery stores, places to eat, and the train.
Antonio’s place was like a little oasis in the middle of Washington heights. It was clean and nicely decorated. The furniture – bed and couch - were comfy which was much needed after my long workdays. The walk to the medical center was short and pleasant. It truly felt like home. I haven’t met Antonio but he was quick to respond to my messages with all the needed info. I highly recommend Antonio’s place.
I was so pleased with the apartment in Washington Heights. I had to take a class at Columbia Medical Center, and I could walk there in five minutes flat, so the location was perfect for me. I really like it up there in far northern Manhattan. It's a neighborhood without a lot of tourists and the primary language you hear on the street is Spanish. In the morning you can hear the kids gathering for school across the street. It's a real working neighborhood in NYC, not a tourist haven. I felt safe, even walking around by myself at night. The apartment was clean and homey and Antonio furnished clean sheets and towels. It's remarkably spacious for New York. It's in an old-school NY apartment building and the fixtures are older but work just fine. There are only two things I feel I should mention: the apartment is a fifth floor walkup- but if you have healthy knees, there's no problem, and the shower water pressure left something to be desired. Other than that, I was very comfortable. Antonio was very responsive when I booked the apartment, and his mother-in-law (I think that's how she introduced herself) welcomed me there when I arrived. I would totally recommend Antonio's apartment to anyone who wants to stay off the beaten path in New York.
Staying in Antonio's apartment was an overall pleasant experience and soon felt as "home". The apartment corresponded to pictures, was clean and the bed was excellent. Five floors up (no elevator) might be cumbersome if you have a lot of luggage, but the apartment is conveniently located very close to the metro, with the A Express Train a 20-30 minute's ride to downtown Manhattan.
Minor issues included broken/missing light bulbs and little space made available for us to put our things in/on. The one major issue was a non-working internet connection, which proved very inconvenient for both personal and professional reasons. Antonio was however very responsive and tried his best to compensate us, including giving us a discount on the total price.
We loved staying at Antonio's place! His apartment is very conveniently located close to the subway, and is very warm and inviting. We would strongly recommend his place to others visiting the city. Antonio is very friendly and ready to give all sorts of advice for those new to the city. If I could give this more than 5/5 stars, I would!
Antonio's apartment is simply one of the best options to stay in NYC, whether if you are staying a couple of nights or a couple of months. It is comfortable, quite, bright and very clean. The subway (A train, which takes you anywhere in the city) is very close (less than 1 minute walking) and you also have places to buy groceries and many other things. It is located in a very nice and safe neighborhood. I truly recommend it.
