I believe in adventure!
I'm a dreamer and a doer, a sometimes shy, sometimes silly red-headed and freckled Canadian creative, transplanted to California. I'm a storyteller by trade—a photographer, graphic designer and adventurer. I speak french fluently, and play the guitalele. I also mix a mean bourbon cocktail. My husband is Scottish (Scott the Scot), has a beastly beard, and works in machine learning as a statistician. He enjoys craft beer (he brews his own!), puzzle-solving, and music on vinyl. We have a large, attention-demanding tuxedo cat named George, and we live in a grand old Victorian house in the charming neighborhood of Golden Hill in San Diego. Making our home warm, cozy, and inspiring is a priority to me. We love having other adventurers come to stay!
As travelers, the natural world blows our minds. We're into meandering to discover things off the beaten track, quirky places, charm and light, cafés and good food, mood and magic. Not so much the traditional touristy types… except for the part where I incessantly shoot photographs. As hosts ourselves, we're very careful about keeping our hosts' homes clean and tidy, and being very respectful of their spaces, and we appreciate the same in our guests. We love getting to know new people and enjoy both sharing and receiving insider tips.
