I am a student who spends a lot of time studying, but I like to balance it out by staying very active, physically, socially, and artistically. I I have traveled from coast to coast, and a good deal in between! Most recently I traveled to New York City for the first time! I am a native born Texan though and have pretty much lived here my whole life. I am from North Texas, but I have lived in Austin over 6 years now and have a really great feel for activities, bars, nature spots, and restaurants.
I know a place for just about every kind of ethnic food there is, from Korean to Brazilian! Alamo Drafthouse, The Highball and Black Sheep Lodge are great night places, but for day time I prefer a coffee shops: The Irie Bean and The Green Muse. My apartment is right next to the Greenbelt which makes for awesome day hikes, which if done right end at Barton Springs, truly a winning combination.
I really love my apartment and I am very pleased with the opportunity to host people for a little rent money and if desired, advise them about Austin culture. I am straight forward, but also pretty laid back and accommodating. I love meeting new people and making friends!
My School: I am transferring to UT from ACC next semester to be a biology major, and pursue a doctorate in reproductive health. I love science in general and particularly research! I also graduated from massage school a handful of years ago.
My Art: I like many different kinds of arts and crafts. I have been crocheting over a decade, but only learned to knit a few weeks ago. I dabble in many other things though, including: writing, singing, painting, dancing, cooking, drawing, sewing, clay modeling, and other things to a lesser extent. This being said art takes a secondary seat to my school, my health, and my friends, so it is like a thousand little side projects.
Misc: I don't really watch much TV, though I have netflix, and I appreciate most all music, though my collection is eclectic and sparse. I do like webcomics and most everything nerdy. I guess that is enough for now. Happy Trails!
