I'm a native Californian, and I grew up visiting my grandmother in Vallejo every summer. She would take me to San Francisco on the Baylink ferry and to the Vallejo Farmers Market. The market still runs every Saturday morning, year round. After living in many other places, I came back to the Bay Area for the weather, the friendly people, and a fun job with a conservation organization. The music is great here too: I like old time and bluegrass music in particular, and there are jams, festivals, and performances very close by.
I am lucky to have stumbled upon this neighborhood when I moved to Vallejo: my neighbors are very friendly, and people look out for each other. Come check out this lovely corner of the Bay Area-- we are right in between wine country, the wildlife of the San Pablo Bay wetlands, San Francisco culture, and the East Bay food.
