I am the co-owner of the Algonquin Tea Company, a wild and organic herbal tea company, based in the Upper Ottawa Valley.
Since 1995, I has been writing a monthly column called Sacred Journeys for Vitality Magazine in Toronto. In which I explore the profound meaningfulness of everyday life. I have also coordinated lecture series in healthy living in Toronto, and co-facilitated workshops in a variety of topics that explore self-discovery.
More recently, I have become a certified Bowen practitioner and have been trained in Reiki, Reflexology and Therapeutic Touch. I received a masters from the University of Guelph studying anthropology and specifically the Collective Social Imagination.
“I was born to a pair of explorers. They moved through poetry and stories like some move through religious text—inspired by the beauty and mystery of life. The stories and poems I was told were not religious ones, though many of the myths were instructional in a moral sense, exposing a deep psychological duality we all wrestle. It was the inspired vision of fellow humans that in turn, inspired me to be the best I could be, to reach out to nature as a sentient teacher and friend, to be respectful, loving and forgiving. So in this vast, barely explored multiverse, I was always drawn to views other than my own, as they increased the picture of the world I carried and made my life larger as a result.” —Kim
