I enjoy being outdoors and outdoor activities - cycling, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, pretty much anything. Prescott is a great area for being outdoors.

Quick in and out for business. Slept like a baby! Lovely host!
Denise was kind enough to let me stay at her home, even though she had a family emergency and had to be away.
Everything was organized from where the key would be to which bed I would sleep in.
We had a pleasant stay for a week at Denise's. Her house is on a nice, quiet street within easy walking distance of downtown. Denise did a great job communicating to mesh our schedules for us to check in and it was nice getting to know her. For some reason our laptops were slow to get connected to wifi, but once they did the first time every time after was pretty much instant. Denise leaves a good "cheat sheet" out with pretty much everything you need to know. All in all, a pleasant stay.
Denise was very communicative with us, she was not present during our stay but had all instructions about how to let ourselves in and how to tend to her two cats (very easy). She sent us restaurant listings, and tips on how to best see the 4th Friday art walk. Her house was within a 10 minute walk to the historic district and Whiskey Row of Prescott, and in a good neighborhood, we felt safe. While there was no TV, we brought a laptop and was able to connect to the internet via wifi no problem. Bring your own coffee and sugar (there is a coffee maker). Plenty of tea though. There was food in the fridge but we were unsure if we could use any of it.
Denise is away from her home for the xmas holidays but she entrusted her home to me for me to stay for a night, and I couldnt be more grateful! Communication with Denise is easy (via phone, airbnb messaging), and she also offer great tips on the nice eateries around town.
I love her cozy home which kind of reminded me of my parents home. I stayed in the room with 2 single beds, and there is an attached shower to that room. The home is within walkable distance from Prescott downtown, but it's also an easy drive away.
It was our second stay with Denise and was as nice as the first! More so,since we now know Denise and she was also available for conversation and visiting with us! A charming neighborhood within walking distance of everything and a short drive to the lakes and woods. Denise makes it easy to get coffee or tea, use the refrig. if you have perishables, and it's dark and quiet at night for good sleeping!
We enjoyed another warm and wonderful stay at Denise's home. Her place is close to everything you may want to do-- coffee shops, art galleries, the courthouse, and a quick drive to the lakes and outdoors activities as well. A quiet neighborhood and lively conversation with Denise= a great getaway for us!
Denise is a great host who was very welcoming to us. The room is clean and quiet with its own bathroom. The house is within easy walking distance of everything downtown and easy driving distance of Prescott's wonderful parks and trails. Denise offered terrific advice on what to do and see while in Prescott, as well as recommendations about local restaurants. We would absolutely stay with Denise again, and hope to do so.
Timing is all, but it did not work for us. Thanksgiving traffic meant we did not meet but that does not mean I was not graciously welcomed by two cats and a key. Denise has a very firm mattress and her firm rules are sensible, preventing misunderstanding on any level..The house is lovely and I am sure it reflects the hostess too. But she arrived late and I left early!
We were very appreciative to be able to stay at Denise's. The house fit an number of criteria we wanted: close to downtown, close to Prescott college, on a quiet street, and in a mellow home. Although we were not able to meet her during our stay, she was great to communicate with over email and the phone. She had hiking maps set out for us to use and we were able to explore some new trails as a result. There are a number of wonderful hikes a close drive from her house. The house was clean and user friendly. Our trip was greatly enhanced by staying at her house instead of camping or hotels.
Denise and her daughter were great guests, and it was really fun meeting them on their cycling journey along the North Coast! I would be happy to have them stay again, and recommend them to other hosts.
Arriving from Prescott, AZ, Denise and her daughter planned a bike trek around Sonoma County. They stayed one night, and then off they went via road bikes to Sonoma, Bodega, and back. It was perfect weather. They were wonderful guests. Please do accept a reservation request from Denise. You'll meet an interesting woman, and double the benefit if her daughter accompanies her.
Denise was a great guest and is welcome back any time.
She was great
Denise and her daughter were excellent guest! It's always great hosting other host, and Denise was no exception. Very respectful, clean, and fun to talk to! We would have Denise back anytime!
Denise is an amazing person, we teach together and I've had the good fortune to stay at her Prescott home. Denise has spent her life as an ambassador to nature, nurturing contexts of deepening and learning, and she is a gracious and graceful host. Her home in Prescott is a beautiful sanctuary, rooms filled with sunlight, a ready cup of tea, flexibility, and a map pointing toward adventure. I love the walking path up the mountainside out the back door to get a fresh perspective. If you have the opportunity to stay at Denise's Prescott sanctuary, you will ensure a wonderful trip and leave refreshed!
