I enjoy being outdoors and outdoor activities - cycling, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, pretty much anything. Prescott is a great area for being outdoors.

Denise was the consummate host. Her home is well-kept, with big windows, on a quiet street and centrally located. Denise seemed to always have the kettle on when I wanted tea, and she made sure I always left the house armed with suggestions of things to do and places to eat.
Denise made us feel more than welcome. It felt more like family. She was particularly helpful on where to go and what to do. But we also had some great talks.
The neighborhood is very central and we easily walked to restaurants and the town square.
And the cats are a lot of fun.
Denise made us feel incredibly welcome during our short stay in Prescott, Arizona. Being from Phoenix, we made a last minute decision to visit the area and we were happy to find a place to stay on such short notice. We were greeted at the door by two beautiful cats and welcomed warmly by Denise. The room was lovely and towels were laid out for us on the bed. Denise recommended a wonderful restaurant for us and we enjoyed wandering the town and exploring the places that Denise thoughtfully recommended. In the morning, Denise offered us breakfast, but we had an appointment in town that we had to rush off to. We would have been glad to stay longer with Denise!
We stayed here only one night. Denise is a really nice host and her cats are so cute! The neighborhood is extremely quiet and the bed is comfortable. Everything is clean! We would definitely recommend to stay here.
I had a wonderful time staying at Denise's in Prescott. Denise was very gracious in suggesting where to go and what to do. She even connected me with some other locals. It was very much a family feel. I hope to be back soon!
Denise greeted us upon arrival, and showed us to our room. She was very kind, friendly, and informative. We initially stayed in the room with the double, futon bed, but she was accommodating enough to let us change to the room with the 2 twin beds for the following 2 nights of our stay, since I'd found the futon bed to be a little too firm. She was fine about us storing things in the refrigerator for breakfast, and had lots of ideas of restaurants, etc. She was gone for most of our stay, so we had the place to ourselves, except for her 2 sweet kitties, which we let in and out of the house at morning and night. The rooms and bathrooms were both very clean, and it is a quiet neighborhood, and extremely close to Prescott College, which was what we needed.
Quick in and out for business. Slept like a baby! Lovely host!
Denise was kind enough to let me stay at her home, even though she had a family emergency and had to be away.
Everything was organized from where the key would be to which bed I would sleep in.
We had a pleasant stay for a week at Denise's. Her house is on a nice, quiet street within easy walking distance of downtown. Denise did a great job communicating to mesh our schedules for us to check in and it was nice getting to know her. For some reason our laptops were slow to get connected to wifi, but once they did the first time every time after was pretty much instant. Denise leaves a good "cheat sheet" out with pretty much everything you need to know. All in all, a pleasant stay.
Denise was very communicative with us, she was not present during our stay but had all instructions about how to let ourselves in and how to tend to her two cats (very easy). She sent us restaurant listings, and tips on how to best see the 4th Friday art walk. Her house was within a 10 minute walk to the historic district and Whiskey Row of Prescott, and in a good neighborhood, we felt safe. While there was no TV, we brought a laptop and was able to connect to the internet via wifi no problem. Bring your own coffee and sugar (there is a coffee maker). Plenty of tea though. There was food in the fridge but we were unsure if we could use any of it.
Denise and her daughter were great guests, and it was really fun meeting them on their cycling journey along the North Coast! I would be happy to have them stay again, and recommend them to other hosts.
Arriving from Prescott, AZ, Denise and her daughter planned a bike trek around Sonoma County. They stayed one night, and then off they went via road bikes to Sonoma, Bodega, and back. It was perfect weather. They were wonderful guests. Please do accept a reservation request from Denise. You'll meet an interesting woman, and double the benefit if her daughter accompanies her.
Denise was a great guest and is welcome back any time.
She was great
Denise and her daughter were excellent guest! It's always great hosting other host, and Denise was no exception. Very respectful, clean, and fun to talk to! We would have Denise back anytime!
Denise is an amazing person, we teach together and I've had the good fortune to stay at her Prescott home. Denise has spent her life as an ambassador to nature, nurturing contexts of deepening and learning, and she is a gracious and graceful host. Her home in Prescott is a beautiful sanctuary, rooms filled with sunlight, a ready cup of tea, flexibility, and a map pointing toward adventure. I love the walking path up the mountainside out the back door to get a fresh perspective. If you have the opportunity to stay at Denise's Prescott sanctuary, you will ensure a wonderful trip and leave refreshed!
