The towels were bought less than a year ago. They are clean. I suppose if
you hold them up to the light they may have some stains but I am not that
crazy about things like towels. This is our home, we are not wealthy.
I did not take the garbage out of the room because I respect guest privacy
and do not enter the guest room while there are guests staying at the
house. If you want the garbage to be taken out, you need to ask and I will
gladly assist you.
I offer a wonderful continental breakfast. I often make a large batch of
home-made muffins/scones and sliced fruits from my organic, local, farm
share box early in the week and we eat it for several mornings. This is
enjoyed by all other guests and I don't see the problem with preparing
ahead of time.
Our dog Gumbo is in training and may, but rarely, have accidents. We
certainly don't expect our guests to pick up after our pet. Carlos uses old
dish rags to clean up if Gumbo has an accident in the house. It was not a
tea towel but an old rag. We use bleach to clean it up and it is very
sanitary. We fully disclose that our dog is in training on the website.
We live in an old building that is not very well-maintained. This allows us
to host for less, but the downside is that the apartment building can be
dirty. People who aren't use to San Francisco can be taken aback by a dirty
building. Those of us who are lucky enough to live here in affordable
housing are used to a little bit of a dirty building. It's a fair trade for
living in this beautiful city.
