I fill my time at home with cooking, painting and music and outside of that I can be found on the map somewhere between Texas and North Carolina.

Baxter was a great host. She was quick to respond to my emails or text if I had any questions. Her home was inviting and cozy with a wonderful vintage feel. My friends and I had a great time there and would definitely stay again while we were in Charlotte.
The Magnolia Bee is beautiful and we enjoyed the comfy space!
Just one warning - if you are a light sleeper then this house is not for you. It's about 100 yards to the train crossing, and by law trains have to sound their horn for between 15 and 20 seconds as they approach. No problem for myself as a heavy sleeper but my wife was woken several times a night by the trains going through.
This aside, Baxter's house is in a fantastic location, is spacious, clean and well provisioned. It is an older property but well maintained and warm. It's only a ten minute walk / 2 minute drive east to the large local shops (including Starbucks and a Supermarket) or a two minute walk west to another Starbucks, convenience store and several restaurants. It's only a ten minute drive into the centre of Charlotte and all key attractions. The one issue we had during our stay was with the WiFi dropping out. Baxter immediately got onto it, having the AT&T technician there at 8am the next morning. As it turned out the problem wasn't even with the property but was at a junction box down the street. The WiFi was fixed by early afternoon. Baxter is a great host and very responsive when anything needed addressing. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Charlotte provided the trains aren't a problem.
Great house. Very cute with large backyard. Easy walk to food trucks and 2 blocks to the #10 bus that will have you downtown in a few minutes. Baxter was very helpful pointing out places to see in Austin.
Magnolia bee home was so charming! Very spacious, and very conveniently located in a great, artsy part of town! Now that I know it's pet friendly I will be bringing my little dachshund next time!
Baxter's place is in the ideal location. Could not have ask for more
I had a great time visiting Austin, and really appreciated Baxter's quiet cottage experience. She was very prompt in answering all my questions, letting me know where to find towels and soap. The key exchange was a breeze, and I would definitely visit again!
Baxter's home was a GREAT place to ring in the New Year. Elizabeth is a beautiful neighborhood, and there are many bars, a market, a record store, restaurants, and a Starbucks all within walking distance. Back to the home - it's the perfect mix of cozy and eclectic with its wondrous array of nic nacs, you could spend a half hour just walking through the home and taking it all in. We loved all the common areas - especially the breakfast nook and fire pit out back. And all the bedrooms have their own unique homey feel. Baxter laid out anything and everything we might need, from towels and bedding to a coffee bar in the kitchen -- she even left a bottle of champagne in the fridge for NYE! We also really appreciated all the magazines and pamphlets she left out on things to do in Charlotte, not to mention she was happy to give us specific recommendations on places to eat and shop in the area. All in all, Baxter was a terrific hostess and tour guide, and that made for a memorable, no hassle trip for my friends and me.
Baxter's house was great! We had a lovely time and Baxter stocked the house perfectly for us, setting up the bedrooms for exactly the large number of guests we had. The house was comforting and cozy, and we enjoyed the fire pit out back. Can't wait to come back!
Baxter's home was spacious and clean. The many unique details make the old house quite charming. For Charlotte, the neighbourhood is very walkable. We would stay here again.
Baxter and her finacee, her poodle mushroom, and their lovely bunny were awesome! Very personable, lovely people, and just a joy to host. I would gladly host them again in a heartbeat, and I hope they consider us their home away from home, next time they are in Austin. :)
Baxter and her partner were great guests, checking in early and then taking off and see a bit of Savannah. They were on their way to Texas and stopped at Los Robles for the night. I did not see them much but am assured they had a good stay. Richard
It was a pleasure meeting and hosting Baxter, a fellow airbnb community member! And just as I suspected, everything was in excellent condition upon her departure. This was an ideal experience. Hope to see Baxter again!
