A native Pacific Northwesterner, I grew up east of the mountains (the Cascades) on the Columbia and Wenatchee Rivers. I Love WA and OR. Portland is one of my favorite cities. I like it even better than Seattle.
Lived my adult life in the Puget Sound until the economy tanked, eventually necessitating a move. From the rain of western Washington to the desert heat and sprawling population of the Phoenix, AZ valley to the extremes of Anchorage, Alaska.
Children grown and gone. The dog refused to grow up and leave home. Sometimes he travels with us, but not usually.
Degree in psychology with an emphasis in adolescent development, especially adolescent males. A minor in history, emphases on western religious history and American history. I don't do enough with my education, except to pontificate on any number of subjects. My husband will attest to that.
Spouse is in energy management (conservation, renewables, etc.). We are tree-huggers, but not kneejerk tree-huggers. I can't entirely throw myself into zealotry of any kind. Good thing since Anchorage just started its first curbside recycling program less than five years ago and just started recycling glass again (no curbside pickup, consumer must haul it in). I still fly in planes and drive my Subaru.
Love to travel, especially out of Alaska, but not as flexible as when I was young so seeking experiences without "surprises," the negative kind. Just comfort, fun, and relaxation around upbeat people.
I do not provide detailed information on networking accounts that lends itself to identity theft or other privacy intrusions; therefore, I hope you will take a leap of faith and trust me enough to accept my credit card for bookings before seeing such information. I promise that I am tidy, respectful, highly responsible, too tired for big parties, and will not abscond with your possessions. Neither will my husband, but he isn't tidy. That's okay, though, I clean up after him when he forgets to.
