Response from Nick:
It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay with us, however from many of your comments it seems that you are under the impression that AirBnB is a hotel service. We are hosts that invite you into our homes and we expect you treat it with the same respect that you would staying at your mothers house. A few comments about your issues
-Towels: 5 towels is more than what people most people use and we do not provide you with new towels every day, I find it hard to believe that at your own home you would switch your towels daily or get them so dirty to the point that you would need to wash them daily (aside from perhaps wiping the floor with them).
-Trash: We rent out the room as a private room, we will not be entering your room at any point during your stay unless specifically asked to, this is one of the reasons people enjoy staying with us because they trust in our privacy. We are not your parents and will not be pickup up after you, and frankly not many buildings in London have a trash chute 10 meters down the corridor in the same building (we also mentioned the location of this to you in person).
-Check-In: We waited for the time which you said you would check-in and after not arriving on time left the key for you in an easy to access place, after I arrived as you said from work within 10 min, picked up the key from the same place it was left.
-Pre Check-In Cleanliness: In several communications it was mentioned that as you are checking in several hours before the cleaning lady would arrive that day the room would not be cleaned yet, but that you were more than welcome to leave your luggage so you do not need to carry it with you.
-Lockout: Our cleaning lady for downstairs arrives on Fridays and had only taken the upstairs key, she did not enter or clean your room as we do not provide daily cleaning services for guests, and I find it hard pressed to believe many if any hosts provide this service.
As I mentioned previously it is a shame that you did not enjoy your stay with us, however had you raised any issues during your stay we would have gladly taken care of it. AirBnB is not a way to get cheap hotels, you are spending a significantly smaller amount of money for staying as a guest in a persons home. Should you require daily towel/cleaning/breakfast and people picking up after you then we recommend you spend £154-£174 / per night (cheapest available in our area) or £1,044 for 6 nights and stay in a hotel nearby.
