We live in the south of England and have three children. One has now left home, one is at University and my son is studying for his A levels.
We love to travel when we get the time and money to do it - a few years ago my husband and I went "Interailing" around central Europe for our Silver Wedding anniversary - it was quite a different experience to when I did it when I was 19 - first class this time! Now we need to plan something for this year's 30th anniversary!
We prefer the comfort of people's homes when travelling rather than anonymous hotels - hence our recent visits to family in Beijing, Dubai, Copenhagen and Barcelona.
Travelling, I prefer to take the train rather than the plane - I think it makes the journey part of the holiday rather than something to be endured.
On holiday I like to do a variety of things - sightseeing, eating, drinking, relaxing and maybe some sport.
