We live in the south of England and have three children. One is in her final year at University, one is studying for her A levels and my son is studying for his GCSEs.
We love to travel when we get the time and money to do it - most recently my husband and I went "Interailing" around central Europe for our Silver Wedding anniversary - it was quite a different experience to when I did it when I was 19 - first class this time!
We prefer the comfort of people's homes when travelling rather than anonymous hotels - hence our recent visits to family in Beijing, Dubai, Copenhagen and Barcelona.
Travelling, I prefer to take the train rather than the plane - I think it makes the journey part of the holiday rather than something to be endured.
On holiday I like to do a variety of things - sightseeing, eating, drinking, relaxing and maybe some sport.
This year we fancy the idea of a summer holiday in Switzerland as we lived there for a few months back in 1999 and would love to go again now the children are older.
