I'm sorry you felt that I was an ungrateful person. If you read my review, I only stated the facts. Other hosts usually ask for my check in hour if they need it, otherwise, they are fine with a text message when I arrive at the train station. I assumed the same. In addition, I just assumed that we could check in at your stated check in time. Hence, when I was told that I could not check in earlier than 6:30PM or leave my bags at your place I was surprised but I said it was ok and changed my train ticket. We decided to stay in Venice a little longer and asked for 9PM check in. I do not want to copy and paste our message log but you made it clear in your message that you had an important plan and we were intruding with our check in. So we changed our train ticket again. I said it was ok. But I did find the behavior and your complaining of other AirBnB members to us when we checked in as unprofessional and off-putting. Hence, I wrote the facts in my review.
Thank you for the cake and the juice. I did not put it in the review because all of my AirBnB stays in Italy have left croissants, cakes, cookies, fruit juice, water, yogurts for us. I did not know you did not normally do this. We thought it was similar to the other AirBnB's normal practice.
As for my observations about your apartment, again, my only defense is that they were factual and not just opinions. Finding the apartment cold to stay in for the first two hours while wearing a cashmere sweater and tights is not normal. I did note that you responded. Also, I just noted the broken light. We never said that we would just be using one room. One of us had jetlag and hoped to stay up planning the other days... we did not know when we booked a 2 bedroom apartment that we were only supposed to use one of the rooms. So we said it was fine. I put all my observations in my reviews because other AirBnB places in Italy were impeccable and impressive. All the facts I listed were things I would have known before I had made a decision to stay at a place since the choice is always AirBnB or a private room in a hostel with reviews 95% and up on hostelworld. While you may think I was ungrateful, I never wrote my opinion. I just wrote the observations I saw that would have been useful to known prior to booking.
