Hello. I used Airbnb for the first time to rent an apartment in Melbourne for my Scottish cousin and I in January. We went for the tennis and ended up feeling that our groovy warehouse apartment was a key part of the holiday.
I've worked as a teacher or sailor in The UK, Spain, Taiwan, Ecuador and Antigua and travelled a great deal in between. Now working and settled in Sydney with my non travelling husband. I don't own any heels, perfume or gold and have never plucked my eyebrows! Happiest in jeans and a T-shirt and walking shoes. When on the road, location and safe, independent transport is always my priority. Wifi and a laundry make things easy. I like uncluttered, light spaces and prefer the simplicity of Ikea over anything fancy or fussy.
In September I'm going to The US to see family. In New Orleans, I'm thinking about treating myself to an independent place for the week of my 50th birthday (18th). Being accessible to my people in Lake View and Metarie is important, as is easy, safe transport to The Quarter and other NO goodies. A spare bed in case I can lure my aunt or any of the Baton Rouge cousins up for the night would be a bonus.
