We had a great time staying in Yu's place! It's a nice home base for those who want to experience living like a local complete with quiet walks from the train station in a pretty Japanese neighborhood. The nearby Yutenji temple is a plus along with the convenient stores just 5 mins away. She was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. The room we occupied was clean and the bathroom and toilet were spacious enough. Yu's english is excellent, sometimes i forget she is actually a local as she herself has travelled to many places. She and her husband Kaoru are such a cute couple! Moreover Japan during cherry blossom season is such a beautiful place to be in, it was a dream come true for me to be surrounded by so many cherry blossom trees in full bloom.
We had the perfect stay at Yu and Kaoru's apartment. Great location, in the quiet and lovely area of Yutenji, only 15 minutes from the busy Shibuya! The apartment is modern, spacious, clean and decorated with taste! At last, Yu and Kaoru were so welcoming that we really felt at home!
I had a nice stay with Yu and her husband. I was in Tokyo for about 1 week. Their flat is very spacious for Japanese standards, spread out over 2 floors with living and dining on the main floor and bedrooms and bath in the basement. The room was very dark and quiet at night, ideal for sleeping, with very little noise from the road. It is a short walk to Yutenji when you can quickly get into Shibuya any other area inside the Yamanote line. I would highly recommend staying here if visiting Tokyo. I was staying on my own, but the bedroom is easily large enough for 2, and contained 2 decent size beds. I had no problems during my visit.
Yu and her husband were wonderful hosts! She met us at the train station and led us to her home upon arrival and helped us arrange a cab on our last day. The apartment was clean and bed was comfy and warm. Thanks so much Yu!
Yu's house is in a wonderful neighborhood that is very central and close to the commercial districts of Shibuya and Roppongi.
While Tokyo is unarguably a beautiful city, I can objectively say that Yu and Kaoro were the primary reason behind making my trip great! They are both extremely nice and Yu was always available to help in all my queries. I really appreciate how they always made me feel at home and enjoyed our conversations that were always filled with laughter. In summary, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time and learn about the Japanese culture from them.
Can't wait to see them again!
Staying at Yu's and Kaoru's place was the best decision I could think of. As it was my second visit in Tokyo already, I knew the area in Meguro would be very quiet and peaceful, but still not far away from highspeed places like Shibuya or Shinjuku. However, the room was as clean and comfortable as expected and I even was allowed to use the washing machine and their bike :) for free. I really enjoyed talking to Yu too - she was just lovely and very helpful at any time - for example, she had to check me in at 2.30am! Thank you again for this awesome stay at your place!! cYa next time for sure! ... tüt
We have great pleasure to stay Yu's house, Yu very help us, provide us with the required information, we share the travel experience and culture of each country , Yu is a highly recommended homeowners!
Overall I enjoyed the stay at Yu's and Kaoru's place very much. They are very interesting, friendly and nice people who even showed me a delicious restaurant where we had fantastic fried gobo.
I picked this apartment because it is not located in but still very close to the hectic centers like Shibuya or Shinjuku (their place is 3 stations away from Shibuya which is basically nothing) and provides quietness and peace aside from the hectic areas. The area is residential and everything in the apartment was as described. The apartment is new, clean and very spacious for Japanese terms. The futons are very comfortable and enable a quiet and relaxing sleep.
Thank you Yu and Kaoru!
I had a wonderful stay in Tokyo thanks to Yu.
Yu and Kaoru's apartment was exactly as described and pictured so you will have no surprise if you ever chose to stay by them.
The flat is located in a very nice and quiet residential area of Tokyo which is also a good way to appreciate the life outside of the many busy centers of the city. If you are the kind of person who does not need to drop by often during the day and prefers to rest in the evening after a long day's walk, that place will suit you perfectly!
Yu is also the sweetest host ever, you will enjoy discussion with her as her English is nearly perfect.
Le quartier est très agréable, l'appartement est grand et moderne, la chambre est calme : vous dormirez comme des loirs :-) Merci Yu !
We really enjoyed our stay with Yu and her husband. Yu is a friendly and accommodating host and we had lovely chats in the evenings after returning from sightseeing. Had we not been so tired every night we would probably have asked here even more questions about Japanese culture.
The room was as advertised, the apartment is very clean and the the futon beds were comfortable to sleep on. A bonus was that Yu let us use the washing machine and we had freshly brewed coffee every morning.
We liked the location which had a very local feel. It's a 5 minute walk from the station with lots of eateries and shops on the way. There are also two grocery stores for picking up breakfast items too.
We would not hesitate to stay with Yu again on our next visit to Tokyo!
Yu and her husband were great and grateful guests. They left the apartment in a perfect state. We never met in real life; only had e-mail contact, but we did get the feeling of becoming friends with them anyway. Never doubt about renting out your place via Airbnb to them!
