Stayed there with a co-worker for sxsw. It was, dare I say it, ideal.
Dealing with Andrew was very easy, from the email exchange, to meeting, to "check out". He and his girlfriend were very attentive to our needs, and were very nice and accommodating.
The house was in a great location and in great condition. The neighborhood is quite and safe. This was exactly what we needed, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Great place to stay, the privacy of the attached apartment with own door was appreciated. Fun neighborhood, 2 minute walk to public bus if you need to get downtown.
Andrew and his wife are very nice person: it has been a pleasure to host them. Hopefully we'll meet them again!
These places are great. My boyfriend and I live here, and both houses have their quirky Austin attributes. The Hyde Park house is a cute, sunny (yellow!) cottage that is an easy walk/bike/bus ride from everything. The East Side house a large, modern house, really close to downtown. From the Hyde Park house, the #7 bus drops you off directly downtown, and from the East Side house you can get downtown in less than 7 minutes by car and probably 15ish by bike. The people who live in both houses are (in my humble opinion) great hosts and easy to live with. Funny, laid-back, cool people. I love spending time in the backyard in Hyde Park and near the newly planted garden at the East Side house. All the neighbors are great and very friendly. Most are families with kids or professionals. The houses both have lots of natural light and are very comfortable.
