Andriy and his wife Olga were excellent hosts. They gave us dinner the afternoon we arrived and Olga drove us to the supermarket to pick up some groceries. Andriy liked to help us out figuring out where to go each day and struggled to have discussions with us on all sorts of topics. We had appetizers before dinner a couple of times, and we were introduced to friends and family. Finally, we were sent off on our journey back to Kiev with a bagged lunch.
The guest facility is a separate house built at the back of the property within the last three years. There is a kitchen, bathroom with a space-age shower/steamer, and an air-conditioned bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped (even has a TV even though there is one in the bedroom). The grounds are very pretty with a carp pond outside the patio area, and the yard is fully enclosed with a fence. Parking is inside the fence.
The house is away from the centre of town and we used the car each time to go into the centre. Parking is available in the centre - it is just hard to recognize. We finally realized that if there was room for a car, it was a parking space. There is a bus service from downtown, but we never looked for the nearest stop to the house.
