Perfect accommodation for us and Susanna was accommodating, charming, responded immediately and gave us a warm welcome.
She has arranged the apartment well keeps it neat and clean. Marble bathroom, elevator, easy parking on street, NY kitchen, quiet apartment in great location.
We plan to return
This was my very first airbnb experience and Susanna just made it amazing! She was such a friendly and generous lady who treated me like a friend. I missed our chit chat time on the couch and we grew very close within the 10 days I stayed. The room was spacious and clean, not to mention the bed was super comfy! It was so kind of Susanna to always offer me food, fruit and drinks.
The location of the apt was very convenient as mentioned from other comments. I loved walking around the neighborhood, it was just beautiful (especially when it snowed so pretty!)
I sincerely feel grateful for meeting Susanna and for her great host and all the intriguing stories and experiences that she shared with me. Thank you Susanna!
lovely safe neighborhood. Very sweet and helpful host. Silent and discreet.
I was a fellow New Yorker in crazy need of a place to stay while renovations was happening in my apartment, and Susana rescued me. She is the most generous hostess, offering me fruits and snacks, water on the nightstand, a bathrobe, and an umbrella when it rained. She really anticipated my every need. Her bed was so comfortable, and the room was quiet and clean. For a Manhattan bedroom, it was very spacious (believe me, I know). I loved walking around the neighborhood, 1/2 a block from the Metropolitan Museum, my favorite institution in NYC. For a week, it was my home away from home, and I really appreciate Susana sharing her lovely apartment with me.
The location of Susanna's apartment couldn't be better! A block from central park and a few blocks from the MET! I loved mornings walks in the park! I had a very busy week in NY for my brothers wedding and usually left early and came home late, it was easy to get good rest at night because the bed was super comfortable with cosy sheets and duvet. I did not see Susanna much and when I did she was very warm and welcoming and ensured to make my stay very pleasant. I wasn't sure about the sharing a bathroom part as Ive never done that before but it was very easy as our schedules never had us running into each other or left needing to wait. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay
It's the first that I use the Airbnb, the fact that I made the lucky n perfect decision.the house's neighborhood is museum n Central Park.the room is clean n have all the facilities I need,is very convenient to live here.the host is so warm n kind,I love her so much, everything is perfect,I'll definitely chose here if I come to NY next time!:)
The location is as described, close to museums and Central Park. There are cafes and shops very nearby. However, the apartment itself is not as stated on the website nor is the room the same as in the photos. The pictures conflate the two rooms, the terrace is in disrepair, and in any event not easily available for use as the host sleeps in the room that has the access to it. The entire place, including the guest room, is incredibly cluttered and not "immaculate" as described. The is mold in the shower. At $130 a night, for one, if not particularly concerned with one's space, it is okay, but for an additional $50 a night for two (we are a couple), I expected something a bit more serene, uncluttered and frankly, true to the pictures, as well as clean.
Susana was friendly, sending info on what was going on in the city at the time we were there. However, when I asked via email if we could make coffee in the mornings offering to bring our own coffee and coffeemaker, she said she could not allow access to her kitchen. Okay. Upon arriving she changed her mind, offering us use of the two different appliances she had and coffee. Her kitchen was not conducive to us using it, being unbelievably crowded and cluttered. She emailed me (we were out) to ask why we had not made coffee that first morning and seemed annoyed that we chose not to take her up on her offer.
The last straw was when we emailed her (she was out) that our grandson had been struck by a vehicle in Denver and we needed to return home to arrange to get to him, she never once replied nor left word. We would have appreciated her refunding the balance for the last night's stay but stated we understood if she did not. A word from her would have made all the difference in how we felt under the circumstances.
If you're looking for just any old room in a nice location, stay there, but if you are at all looking for an experience as described on this place's page, your stay will be disappointing.
She is a wonderful host. You should never miss the opportunity to stay in her cozy and perfectly clean room.
I loved staying at this apartment and I would definitely stay there again. The apartment is located right next to Central Park, which is perfect for going for a run or visiting one of the city's great museums (the Met, the Guggenheim, etc.). The apartment itself is very beautiful and I felt right at home. S. was a wonderful host—always helpful and kind.
After having a very bad experience with the first house I get in NY I had the lucky to met Susana. She is very warm and easy to speak with. The house was really clean with all the facilities needed. The neighborhood is very quiet and safety. Very closed to the Metropolitan Museum and Central Park.
She`s very helpfully and tries always to short all your problems out (doubts about transportation, places to go, telephone numbers,...)
I would recommend the house for all airbnb users
