This is a beautiful, warm and welcoming home. We were in NYC to prepare for and celebrate my daughter's wedding, Sarah's lovely, well appointed home was a refuge at the end of busy days. Situated on a quiet street, we were still close to subways, restaurants and not far from a shopping area. We didn't have time to enjoy the deck and garden, but the view from the dining area Was wonderful.
My experience was great and Sarah the host was exceptional in allowing a last minute booking. Words can not describe how much gratitude I feel. Even with the time constraint, the host made sure I got the keys on time and also extending our check out time until 6pm. This took the pressure of rushing to live the home. The home was very clean and organized. Thanks a lot. Dave
Sarah is a great host, very communicative and kind.
The house is very spacious and gorgeous, is rose to downtown Burbank and universal studios, location is perfect to enjoy the most important places in LA.
I definitely recommend Sarah's house to stay while you are in LA.
My family stayed at Sarah's home for 4 days and 3 nights during my wedding weekend and had a tremendous experience there. Her home is spacious (not to be taken for granted in New York), beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. I live in the neighborhood so I can attest that her home is very convenient to public transportation (including the LIRR to/from JFK), great food, and fantastic cultural landmarks.
Sarah and her husband are also very accommodating hosts. When a lightbulb went out in one of the bathrooms, they had new bulbs shipped overnight -- and even offered to drop by to install them for us. We will definitely be contacting them again for my family's next stay in New York!
so kind of you! congratulations on your wedding. hope you have a great honeymoon
Fun, easy to access neighborhood. Quick routes to subway and near shopping. House pretty much as described.
We spent a few days visiting NYC. We were a large group of 10 people between adults and teen agers. The house was a good location to get into an out of the city with subway two blocks away. We were able to park our cars right in front of the house but maybe the fact that it was a holiday helped. The house was great and had enough space for us. There are tenants below so you have to try and be careful not to make too much noise which is difficult since it's an old house. Overall a great choice for us.
This brownstone was an excellent place for a family to spend the holidays in Brooklyn. Plenty of room in the house to spread out and the backyard was incredible for young kids. Safe hood and plenty to walk to nearby. Street parking was easy and the host Sarah was welcoming, flexible, and very responsive to any needs/questions we had. We will surely rent again here in the future. thank you Sarah!
thank you for your kind words!
We loved staying in Sarah's home. It is a home that is warm, comfortable, very close to downtown Brooklyn (we were working across the street on Atlantic) and ideal for our week of work there. Sarah was a total pleasure to rent from. We'd certainly book the house again!
I rented this space for family members coming in from Australia and New Zealand for my wedding in NYC and they absolutely loved the house! It is in a very convenient location, it has a wonderful cozy vibe to it and the owners couldn't be nicer. I would highly recommend staying here and I would definitely rent it again as it provides a wonderful Brooklyn experience.
Sarah was a great host and was extremely knowledgeable about the area. My family enjoyed her lovely home and would definitely stay here again.
Josh and his son were great guests. Would love to have them back any time!
