Hi, my name is Toni.
I spent the month of June in this lovely wee apartment, which is just the right size for one person. It was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything I needed for a long-term stay. The apartment is built into the hillside and opens onto a covered courtyard that’s enclosed on three sides, so it stays a moderate temperature even on hot days and is sheltered during storms -- so much so that even when it blew a gale outside, the bedroom curtains didn’t so much as stir! When it really got hot, the ceiling fan in the courtyard was invaluable for circulating air through the apartment. Toni’s parents, Lidia and Tonci, were fantastic. Tonci picked me up at the bus stop when I arrived and dropped me off when I left, and Lidia was always anxious to make sure my needs were met. She also brought me treats from time to time -- a bottle of wine from the nearby island of Brač, delicious crepes filled with apricot jam, a block of chocolate. I truly felt like I had been welcomed into their family. They have more than one apartment, and also rent rooms, and I can recommend them as wonderful hosts as well as this apartment as a lovely place to stay in sweet Drašnice. One note: If you plan to stay long term a car would be helpful, as Drašnice is very small and has only a small grocery store and a seasonal bakery (open during the summer season), and there’s no way to explore farther afield than the towns along the highway that are on the bus route.
I had a really lovely stay at Toni's. Drasnice is a charming little village with some lovely beaches and a warm welcoming feel. Toni's parents were really good, picking me up when I arrived and bringing me to the bus stop when I left. I really appreciated it.
Toni's parents were so lovely and it was a great stay in Drasnice. A small little place and wasn't busy. We were their first guests of the season and were greeted with local home brewed Croatian liqueur made with carob beans and shown round their place. Would highly recommend. :)
Toni is very nice and reliable host, his apartment is very well located – just 10 m far from the see, as was promised :-). The place is suitable for a family with children, situated just at the same centre of the village Drašnice. A café, a bakery, local shop and post office are nearby.
The apartment we originally booked was not acceptable as the living room opened onto the lobby. We upgraded to a bigger more private room at extra cost. That unit was clean but very dated, including no hot water in the kitchen. Otherwise it was clean and close to the beach. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
Lydia, (a relative of Toni's) was really lovely. She was very attentive to all communications and sent us a video of how to get to the apartment so it was easy for us. She offered us some coffee and biscuits when we settled in which was great. The apartment itself is cute but small, it has a bit of a weird set up in that the kitchen and dining area are separated by the 'lobby' by a curtain. We didnt mind much but as we planned on doing a fair bit of cooking it meant whatever we cooked everyone knew about, so when cooking salmon and using the blender in the mornings for our smoothies I was hyper aware of noise and smells. Other than that the internet worked ok...it was a bit in and out and a bit slow from time to time (we work remotely so we are always aware of the wifi connection), but it was functional. They gave us some candles so we have a few romantic dinners in :) It was a cute little spot and very close to the beach which was wonderful for us. The swimming was the best part! Very nice stay here!
My family were on holiday at apartments of Toni Urlić. The apartments was clean and spacious and it is only few metres from the nice pebble beech. We can grilling on sunny roof terrace. Drašnice is very amazing and quiet location with a lots of small bars and very good restarurant. Toni was very helpfull and arranged a very nice board trip for us. Communication before reservation was very fast and clear. Thanks for everything
Toni and his family were very kind, I highly recommend staying in Drasnice and staying with the Urlic family. They are fun to hang out with and will do their best to accommodate guests.
Drasnice is a small little town, but perfect if you are just looking to lie on a beach, read a book and swim. Its close proximity to Makarska is key if you want to spice things up for an evening.
It is very family friendly, so plenty of kids running around, but there are plenty of spots where you can be alone as well. These are a little further away, but worth the 10min walk.
The neighbourhood is quiet and really close to many beaches on foot. The Urlic family are really good hosts. The place is as described. I recommend it!
Very nice guest, took good care of the apartment. Definitely recommending to the future hosts
Marko was a great guest. He was clean, respectful, and communicated well about checking in and out.
Marko and Katya where great guests, communicated well and left the place clean. Would have them again any time!
Marko was great as a guest. I was out of town while he stayed, but he communicated with me very well and he left the place as clean as I left it.
