Was a great experience, would definitely recommend. Thanks to Robin, Deon and James. Bring with you enough food, beer etc. Great setting with the best people.
The Den is the ultimate 'Room with a View'. It took us no time at all to settle into a couple of days of chill out family time. Our children are 9 and 12 and both of them fell in love with the chooks. We all loved walking to and swimming in the nearby waterfall. The accommodation is rustic and apart from an occasional waft of the septic tank, we all thoroughly enjoyed sitting by the window, playing games, read or simply enjoy the view. Robin and his support team are always to hand if you need anything - thank you Robin for creating a space for us all to enjoy!
Robin is (email hidden) in the hinterland and he clearly likes to share the beauty with others. He is very forthcoming with recommendations to make your stay worthwhile and he knows the area well.
I spent 2 nights in the treehouse on Robin's magical property. Set up the mountain, I had to leave my car down at the bottom of the driveway while Robin ferried me and my belongings up, as it is 4WD access only. The view is quite simply spectacular, and the pictures don't do it justice. It is a peaceful and harmonious place, great to escape the daily grind. The treehouse itself featured a queen sized bed (very possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept on), a toilet & sink, bay windows to sit in and admire the view while curling up with a book, and a kitchenette with gas cooker, fridge and microwave. Robin kindly supplied things like milk, eggs, bread and other essentials. There was also a tv & av set up for entertainment. I also had my small dog travelling with me, who Robin happily accommodated. There are a range of walks to go on, as well as a beautiful watering hole to swim in. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing nature experience!
An experience like no other, I was blown away by the beauty & tranquility of this majestic place; and to the kindness and generosity shown to me while here.
Such a dream.
I look forward to returning :)
I fell in love.
Wild but still comfortable. All balanced. Better than You can imagine.
Robin & co are very thoughtful and interesting people to be around.
Definitely will come to visit a Treehouse again.
Was a great relaxing time, if you are 4wd urself prepare for a steep climb. Some incredible walks and check out the lookout. Thanks Robin and James you were both such helpful and generous people. Samara & Bec
Enjoyed our short time in this special place. Robin is a thoughtful unobtrusive host whose little touches are everywhere to make the stay more comfortable - from music, decorative plants, movies, to some provisions (in case you've forgotten). Hope to get back again
Response from Robin:
Hope you do Ron . .enjoyed what little of your company.
The treehouse was nothing of what I expected and exceeded everything I was hoping to get from it. Robin was an incredible host and had no problem chatting about the country and giving us great tips on things to do in Byron and elsewhere. Perched in a little slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere, I would come back to this place time and time again. Be brave! Try the outdoor shower!
Robin (email hidden), and the picturesque location is perfect for a romantic getaway. The amazing views are only second to the roller-coster adventure in Robins 4WD to enter the property, it was like paying for accommodation, and getting a wonderful experience thrown in for free. The room was comfortable, and kitchen easily accessible for all our needs. Bring food and an adventurous spirit, and you'll have an experience you'll never forget.
It was wonderful to host Robin. He is neat, warm, friendly and easy-going. He took care of the unit just like he owns it. We did not have any trouble and we would gladly recommend him to future hosts.
It was a pleasure meeting Robin. So sorry I only met him once because I was on training but nevertheless, my husband Marti, spent time talking and getting to know him. He says Robin gave him lots of inputs/tips and suggestions to further please our future guest as he also has an airbnb place in Australia which we would love to visit one day. :) We are glad he enjoyed his stay with a (email hidden).
Thank you Robin for staying with us! Looking forward to visit your place in Australia! Ciao. Flaminio.
It was lovely to meet Robin and share our home with him. He was so warm and friendly. A total pleasure!!
i Have been visiting Robin at the Treehouse for many years. It has been my favourite place to escape the city madness and enjoy Nature, good company and the powerful healing energies which the Byron Area is famous for and which the local aboriginal tribes recognized thousands of years ago. The landscape is mind blowing from Rugged rain forest covered mountain side to pristine waterfalls fed by virgin springs. The accommodation is elegant, comfortable and thoroughly romantic in fixtures, materials and setting. This is a unique experience whether you want to chill out or explore. I still am finding new vistas and adventures here. heaven is a place on earth and in the Heart.
