Wow, did we ever luck out on our visit to LA. My partner and I were looking for somewhere to stay short notice and this popped up in Venice. The space is small but all we needed was a room and we got so much more than that. The castle is at the back of the garden and is absolutely enchanting. The space feels private and safe and is decorated beautifully, and for the price, it can't be beat.
Very accessible place. We came in late, but the entry instructions were straightforward and detailed, so we had no problem finding our way in. The place had a real community feel, which we really liked. Very unique and quirky. Loved the chickens and other animals there. Wonderful experience.
We adored this home. As described. Detailed instructions are easy to follow. Flowers smelled beautiful in garden, decorated with love and care... we hope to stay again next trip.
The Good: The host was very thorough when they contacted me regarding my stay. Even though I never actually "met" the host, I was in touch with them via text the entire time. House has tons of awesome personality, the owners have gone to great lengths to make it enjoyable and the experience of staying there was definitely unique and fun. AMAZING water pressure in the shower, something I always look forward to.
The bad: I'm not sure what happened, but there was a dog and a handful of cats that were left unattended in the main house for periods of time. At about 6 in the morning the dog would start barking at the cats in the house like crazy, and it was hard to sleep from that. I am a huge dog lover, but when you're trying to sleep and shake off some jet lag it was difficult because of how loud the dog's screeching was whenever the cat would counter-attack it.
Stayed in the Loft up in the Clouds . Not your traditional stay, and it was extremely refreshing to go to a very unique place . Excellent communication from Tracy and the housekeeper covered all details in advance and during our stay . Felt that every single detail of the property was meticulously looked after . Seems like a lot of love went into this space, and my fiancee and I really appreciated it . Loft up in the Clouds provides you with a little nook to sleep in after you climb the ladder - so not the biggest room - but the bed is unbelievably comfortable, and we really felt we had a lot of privacy . While the actual sleeping space is relatively small, the rest of the grounds to which you have access is big ! There is a lovely garden with a luxurious seating, a large kitchen, two nice shared bathrooms, and two bikes available should you wish to cruise around Venice . Really, really great stay and met some other very nice people while we were there . My only complaint is that we wished we'd stayed longer ! Thanks, Tracy, for a wonderful stay .
This place was so amazing, a really unique and relaxing hideaway so close to the hustle and bustle of LA, we loved our stay here only one complaint we had the starry starry night room we loved the room but unfortunately it was right next to the bathroom and were awakened at 5 am by another patron puking in the bathroom, not the most pleasant sound to wake up to, the walls are pretty thin of course the house is over 100 years old but that what adds to its charm:) i know that the illness of another patron cant be helped, so I know we will be back again to enjoy this little gem and hopefully sleep a bit later;)The bed was very comfy and the space heater helped to keep the room warm through the night as it was cold and rainy out. I loved all of the little touches around this place you can tell the owners really love this place. I also loved having the animals around really makes it feel homey and cozy, the cat slept in our room all night, but they do have pet doors on all the rooms you can lock to keep the furry friends out if you don't want to cuddle but we found it relaxing. Overall one of our new favorite spots in LA, I would like to come here and stay in all the rooms as each one has its own unique theme which we love! I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling in the LA area.
Wonderful second stay! It really is a magical place. Stayed at the angel room again and its always a great place to do work like a private nook. Great guests and wonderful workers and host. My go to place to stay in LA. Thanks Tracy!
The Loft in the Clouds was a perfect place for us to stay. The space itself was very cozy, with its own skylight. It's small, but you can put your stuff in a private closet and the property itself is really neat.
It's in close proximity to a great shopping street and not too far from the beach.
Arriving and finding our way in was clearly laid out.
Overall, a great experience!
The space was fantastic. I was unfortunately only able to hang out for a night but had a great experience- hosts were so accommodating! The room and whole house was very cozy and well designed. Also met a bunch of awesome people in the common spaces while staying there- highly recommend!
A real sweetheart.
Tracy and Ava were great guests. They were warm and respectful, fun to talk to, and we enjoyed sharing our home with them. They were so kind to our baby daughter who loved having them here, too! We would happily welcome them back any time and hope to visit their beautiful-looking home in Venice beach!

We do hope you can come our way one day. ;) xo
