Had a perfect stay here. I just needed a place to stay while I had work done on my apartment. Having the private entrance was key because it really felt like my own little hideaway. The room was simple but very clean. The rest of the apartment was really cute and clean too. I always love seeing how people decorate their spaces. Also couldn't ask for a better location. While being centrally located in Williamsburg it was quiet and off the beaten path just enough. Close to two trains, the ferry, and cittibike on the block! Also the building, being an old warehouse seemed fitting for an experience in Williamsburg. Also right across from this really cool community garden/park, views of the bridge (from my room!) and the infamous Domino sugar factory (which I have always be intruiged by!) there is also a pretty cute bar right on the block (the woods), and a great coffee shop 2 blocks away (Oslo) and an amazing grocery store 3 blocks away...perfect!
Great experience, excellent host!
The room is really nice and clean, cozy house in amazing neighborhood. Restaurants, cafes and nice shops: everything is 5-10 min. walking in one of the best and coolest places in NYC.
Excellent location to visit Manhattan, just 3 stops by train.
I'll definitively come back to Sine's place!
I had an excellent stay at Sine's place. I needed a place on short notice and she responded immediately. She was very friendly and communication was easy. Sine was able to arrange pickup of the keys at a store her friend owns just a couple blocks from the apartment, even though she was at work so this flexibility was very helpful. Someone could have met me at the apartment but this method was easier for both of us because I came a little early.
The room was very clean and pristine, and the bed sheets smelled like fresh laundry. There was adequate space for my baggage and accessories, even a little desk for when I wanted to work on my laptop, plus the internet connection was very fast.
The kitchen was nothing fancy, but i wasn't planning on cooking anyway. In fact, I had very little communication with the girl who lives in the apartment because I had a separate entrance and only used the bathroom once because I was out most of the time. She seemed very nice, but it didn't really matter. I would have liked to stay longer and enjoy the big living room etc. I didn't use the balcony because it was mid-winter and, well, brrrrr. Anyhow, I would highly recommend this place mostly because it was clean, easy, and right in the middle of a fantastic neighborhood. Within walking distance there is transportation, great food, boutiques, galleries, and music venues. I will definitely stay here next time I come to NYC. Thanks Sine, Great deal for a great spot!!
This was our very first Air BnB experience. We had rented apartments in Paris and Italy, however we did so through a management company. Sine was a gracious and friendly host and VERY flexible with checking in/out. The building was perfectly situated near great food, entertainment and our sons, who live in Brooklyn. The subway is down the street and the ferry to Manhattan is just outside the building. A building emergency meant we missed the Brooklyn Flea (across the street) and the rain and wind kept us off the balcony, but a great (and comfortable time) was had by all! Note: The building changed access for guests to amenities recently. Check with Sine if the gym, pool etc are important for your visit. We will be back! :)
Sine greeted us warmly and friendly.
Her place is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, modern, clean and bright.
Great views from living room, kitchen and bedroom.
Bed and linens are very nice.
There is a huge balcony with stunning view of manhattan skyline and east river. Air is clean and refreshing.
Building is brand new and facilities are just like a resort.
There are Gym, Indoor Lap Swimming pool, Game room, Movie Theatre & lounge. There is also 24hr security.
Location is one of the best in Brooklyn.
Only few blocks from Bedford Ave. station & 5min. train ride to Union Square.
Many good Coffee shops, Bakeries, Sandwiches, Restaurants and Bars in walking distance from her condo in Williamsburg.
I loved "smorgasburg", Artisan local food market every Saturday & it is right in front of her condo.
My family had an excellent stay. Just staying at Sine's place alone is worth going back to Williamsburg New York.
We loved staying in Sine's apartment. Sine was very helpful and had everything perfectly prepared for our stay. Her apartment is lovely with a magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline. I appreciated the excellent mattress & bed linens as well as being able to use the wonderful lap pool that is offered as an amenity for the apartment building. The neighborhood is fantastic -- Bedford Avenue and the area around it offer so many wonderful places to eat and things to do. We had the best of the city without the noise and traffic. I left NYC rested and rejuvenated. We hope to return here in the future. Thank you, Sine!
Effortless, almost invisible, Sine was prepared to relax and get some heat. She did her thing and was willing to allow my intrusion when I asked to store food in the fridge, if needed.
I had the pleasure to host Sine in my apartment. I was already away when she contacted me, so everything was done via email. The communication with her went smoothly, and when I came back I found the apartment to be clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend Sine to stay at your place!
I hesitated to write this because Sine seems to defy any words I could use to define her. I've known her for over 12 years now and have watched her grow from curious, young, thrill seeking explorer to curious, consummate, world traveling, teacher (Sine received the prestigious 'New York City Teacher of the Year Award' for her work above and beyond the call of duty in some of the city's more overlooked schools.) I had the pleasure of joining Sine at a Christmas party held for students at the Bronx school where she was teaching special ed at the time. The minute she rolled up into the auditorium, the students formed a circle around her, chanting her name, refusing to quit, until she started to dance. (She's also a fierce dancer). Oh, that's right, the apartment. As for the apartment, well I can honestly say I've seen nothing like it in NYC. I'd say the pictures speak for themselves but it's much better (not to mention there's no photos from my favorite haunt, the nintendo wii gaming center.) But I digress. Its in one of the best neighborhoods in NYC. The is apartment is beautiful. The building is beautiful. Sine is beautiful. My only caution would be that if you stay here, you'll most likely wind up yet another fan.
I have known Sine for three years now and she continues to be one of the most intriguing and welcoming among my friends. The condo itself is spectacular - near the top floor of an ultra-modern building offering views of the Manhattan skyline over the water almost too beautiful to believe. The location is ideal in both its distance to transportation but also to the hip Brooklyn area, full of great shops and food with unique flair. This is especially useful to those who may need quick access to the busier areas of New York but prefer to also have the option of peaceful relaxation. Can't wait to visit again!
Amazing is the best word to describe the experience in this condo. Standing on the balcony is like looking at a postcard. Across the river right in front of me was Manhattan laid out beautifully. Sine's condo has one of the largest balconies in the complex. Sitting out there with a glass of wine, snacks and friends, the slight wind feeling refreshing ...who wants to leave? Empire State Building??? I can see you from here!
The subway station was just down the street and got me to where I needed to go. Walking distance from great tea and coffee houses. Wine shop...just around the corner. Wonderful, cozy and unique eating establishments all around. Amazing now seems like an understatement.
The condo is like the prize properties shown on HGTV. Beautifully decorated and the amenities of a Trump Hotel. Location is perfect for any adventure throughout New York.
You won't want to leave once you are there.
This condo surpasses anything you could ever imagine in NYC! It has the amenities of a large chain hotel, including full size basketball court, full size indoor swimming pool and spa, lounges to rent for private parties, a theater room, a video game room, and much much more. The apartment itself is unparalleled. It has a large balcony with unobstructed views of Manhattan, floor to ceiling windows from the main living area, and a contemporary and newly built kitchen and bathroom. There is a pharmacy and wine shop just around the corner. It also also just next door to a small park that has fantastic concerts in the warmer months. It is only blocks away from the L train, one of the most accessible trains in the city. You can find yourself in union square within 2 stops! Williamsburg is a safe, energetic, hip place that can be accessed by foot. Please come and experience our dream come true. We know you will love it as much as we do!
sine is a truly a special person. she would keep surprising you the more you get to know her. she has a wonderful taste of style, loves life and knows best spots wherever she goes. most important of all, she is so positive that you are garantied to feel good around her. if i was a host, i would definetely make sure that she chooses my place to stay. and if you are planning on renting her apartment, the only thing i can say is that you have found one of the best spots in town !
Sine and I have been friends for the last 7 years, worked together as teachers at the Bronx High School for the Visual Arts, traveled through Japan together for a month, and lived next door to each other for a year. She is an amazing travel partner and host. A global citizen, Sine loves meeting new people, finding new, unique adventures and locales, and dancing/ discussing/eating/exploring her way through life and trips. She is independent and social. As a host and travel buddy, you might see her one day, but not the next. On our trip in Tokyo, we were in an elevator with a TV showing the (email hidden)l rain...everywhere in Japan...except for a tiny island called Okinawa hundreds of miles south. Sine made it her mission to find out how and why we should go there. Two days later, we were buzzing around the island on modeds, enjoying our stay at surfer pensions, and dancing away the night at a solstice beach party.
Sine is the best, I have known her for years,
she is reliable, helpful, clever and most important very fun to hang out with
and she is a great travel companion
to meet her would be a fullfilling experience for anybody
Sine's apartment is droolworthy destination. And she herself is kind and lovely. I recommend staying at her place to recharge your karmic mojo batteries.
Sine and I have known each other since 2004, when I moved into a loft with her. I didn't know her when I moved into the space, but we fast became comfortable roommates--and ultimately friends. She's kind, reasonable, and direct, and knows how to take care of her things and the people around her.
I've been in NYC for twelve years now, and she was the best roommate I ever had.
Her apartment now is a beaut with lots of amenities--you'd be lucky to have a chance to crash here. And if you have the chance to have her crash on your floor--you won't regret that either.
