It is affordable and she was flexible with check-in/check-out. There were fresh sheets and towels for me when I got there. The location was pretty awesome, very close the the L (both logan square and california blue line), and Jacqueline has many friends in the area that were helpful with the key pick-up/drop-off. She was in touch with me the entire time I was there, and that was very appreciated. The only con was that the apartment wasn't the cleanest when I arrived, but it was fine for my needs of just needing a comfortable place to crash. If you're wanting to stay in Logan Square, I'd stay here.
we were very disappointed when we arrived at jacqueline's place (we rented her whole apt and have never met our host). her place looked like it hasn't been cleaned for a month. the sheets have obviously not been changed, the kitchen was a complete disaster and the bathroom almost unusable.
since we booked for 2 nights and prepaid, we had to make a quick decision: book another place and lose $150+, or stay and clean up. we looked around and decided that we couldn't possibly live in this place for 2 days and so we left (we also texted her friend as instructed when we left).
we're very experienced travelers and have stayed at many bnb's in the past. this has to be our worst bnb experience in over 30 years of international traveling. the host obviously does not care about her guests and could care less about basic cleanliness. after we left, we did email jacqueline to ask for a partial refund (leaving the amount entirely up to her). not only did she decline, but she accused us of 'extortion.'
be warned. the pictures posted do not reflect what the apt really looks like.
