This was our best Airbnb experience in the States so far! The hosts are very gracious, flexible and welcoming. The property is incredible; very creative and spacious. There is a separate entrance with a walkway to the trailer, so you can come and go as you please. The trailer was very comfortable and didn't feel cramped at all, including the bathroom (although only one person at a time). Great coffee and eating in easy walking distance. Overall a quintessential Austin experience!
My fiancé and I stayed here for memorial weekend in Austin for my cousin's wedding. First of all, we love hip/ eclectic East Austin for all it's character and charm. Sara's place is in a great local for all things East Austin. The yard is so cute and eclectic with the "grass couch", fire pit and chandeliers adorning the tree and rustic covering our little airstream porch. We just felt right at home. The AC works great! The inside is beautiful, minimal and comfortable. Perfect! Can't wait to visit a again!
We booked last minute with Sara, and she was wonderful and accommodating. Her backyard is very quaint-- the perfect place to sit and have your coffee in the morning. The amenities in the trailer were wonderful. Everything is new and pristine, and she even left beers in the fridge for us! The bed was very comfortable, so we got a great night's sleep. She gave us some wonderful options for dining, and we tried out the nearby Yellow Jacket Social Club-- highly recommend! We had a great experience and would encourage anyone and everyone to book with her.
I booked the Chic 1953 Spartanette for my boyfriend's surprise 30th birthday trip and it couldn't have been more perfect! The Spartanette looks exactly the same in real life as it does in the pictures. It was a very clean, well decorated and comfortable space. Sara was a fantastic host, very friendly, easy to get in touch with and offered great recommendations. Sara and her husband have done an amazing job with their property. The backyard was a tranquil retreat with sitting area, gardens and even a chicken coop. It was so nice waking up every morning to a cool morning breeze and the faint sounds of birds and roosters. The house is situated on a safe street in the Arts Districts. Walking distance to the university and great restaurants / bars. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone interested in getting a real feel for Austin.
My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay at Sara's! The weather was absolutely beautiful, so we didn't need to use the A/C or the space heater, though both were high quality and fully functioning. Sara was very nice and available, and made us feel welcome without smothering us. Upon our arrival, she gave us a quick and thorough tour of the Spartanette and her property, which was awesome. Giant live oaks provided plenty of shade over the hammock and outdoor patio at our disposal. The landscaping was rustic and quirky--perfect for a stay in Austin. The trailer was the perfect size for one or two, and she provided coffee, water, a six-pack of lonestar, and topo chico. She has two timid but sweet dogs, who were more like lawn ornaments than playful pups. They are beautiful, quiet, and totally respectful toward humans. The Temperpedic mattress and pillows were very comfortable, and the linens were clean and soft. The location in East Austin was wonderful, too. There are many restaurants, coffee houses, and bars in the neighborhood, as well as a great record store and other little shops. For the price, location, amenities, ambiance, and cleanliness, I don't think you can get much better than Sara's Spartanette.
I have been on tour for ten months and this is hands down the coolest place I have stayed! Sara and Jay are great people and their Spatanette trailer is so comfortable. The trailer is located about a five minute drive from 6th St and maybe ten to South Congress. There is a ton do in their area as well. I had a great time grabbing some drinks and food at Haymakers. If you get a chance definitely stay here!
This Spartanette was so lovely! Perfect size for two, air con, cute kitchen and shower and heaps of telly channels. Really super cosy and private and close to some great coffee shops and a short drive to 6th street. We loved our stay in Austin here :)
LOVED this space. It was very relaxing and simple. Sara and Jay were great! For being in someone's back yard, it seemed very private! I was able to come and go as I pleased. Their yard was awesome; I especially liked the chicken habitat, the grass couch, & the stone/metal fence!!! And the Spartanette speaks for itself...plus the bed was extremely comfortable. I will definitely stay again when in Austin. ~Kikie
loved it all!
Sara was a perfect host! Her home is absolutely beautiful, the backyard is a sanctuary and her pups are as sweet as can be! All the time and detail shows in their design. This lovingly restored Spartanette was stocked with cold lonestar, topo chico and yummy coffee. We hosted a little backyard movie night and they could not have been move accommodating!
Sara and Jay are great people and offer the most spirited and unique rental on the east side of Austin. They are easy going and pay close attention to detail. I have known them both for a while and give them both a thumbs up in all areas of life.
