Love to live in paradise!!
Vida Silvestre is a very special place. The villa was beautifully designed and well constructed. We felt so close to nature -- it was like a luxury treehouse in the jungle. The villa was comfortable, clean, and well maintained.
The grounds of the compound were beautiful and felt very exclusive with only 5 villas on the site. Plus, the beach was a short walk across the street and accessible through Dos Ciebas where we were welcome to use their beach chairs and could get drinks and snacks on the beach.
Vida Silvestre is at the more quiet end of the strip of hotels along the beach. But there were many good restaurants within a 10-minute walk and taxis were easy to get if you did not feel like walking.
Sonia was a great host. She was responsive to all of my emails prior to the trip and made arrival and departure at the villa very easy.
What an amazing place to stay while in Tulum. The location was perfect away from the busier hotels and restaurants gives you less noise from the traffic. Sonia was such a good host and had the right answer for all my questions. Oscar who maintains the ground was also amazing such a great help whenever me and my girlfriend needed anything. We are looking forward to our next visit to Tulum truly a magical place!
100 puntos!.
Our stay was absolutely perfect! Everything was conveniently located and easy to access - especially the beach through connections with Dos Cebias. It's beautiful, peaceful and totally safe/secure. Cannot wait to go back!
Sonia was so helpful, kind and quick to respond that it made everything super easy for us. Such a lovely lady!!
Highly recommend staying here!!
My boyfriend and I were in tulum for a friends wedding. Sonia was awesome and such a good host. Vida silvestre is the perfect little getaway. It's about a mile south from all the majority of the resorts... But they have free bikes for you to use to get around. Luco the dog was so friendly and the best guard dog:-) miss him.
I recommend renting a car so you can go check out the cenotes and the ruins.
Very cute house and design. Amazing garden. Friendly/helpful staff.
Although the property could use a bit better upkeep. We checked in late on first night so couldn't get hot water for shower- was fixed next day. And all the water from shower/sink was salty... Windows don't really seal so at night there came this extremely strong smell from fertilizer or something that woke us up and lasted for hours.
Hope it would be fixed soon. We would like to return one day just for the quiet time on the hammock in that cute little garden.
I highly recommend Villa Silvestre, great location, great facilities. Had a wonderful time, the beach at Dos Ceibos across the street is great, They are super friendly and nice and you feel very welcome.
Villas were perfect for our group and we will probably go back again. Only bit of advice I would share with the public is to keep track of all your towels as you will be charged $10 for each if missing at end of stay. Also be aware that there is no housekeeping on Sundays so be sure you have enough water to carry you over. Overall, a wonderful place--nice to have a kitchen to cook in and staff is very helpful in making any arrangements you may need. Never used the bikes, but there are some available.
Where to begin? Vida Silvestre was absolutely perfect. We spent 8 nights in February, and the only downside was not being able to stay twice as long. As lovely as the photos are, the reality is even better. And Sonia is a warm, welcoming and helpful host.
The little houses are well-equipped and very comfortable. Access to the beach is just across the street, but so close that you can hear the waves breaking as you lie in bed. Having a swimming pool to cool off was wonderful, and we found we had it to ourselves most of the time.
It was great to have a little kitchen where we could make our own breakfast and lunches, though it should be noted that there are no grocery stores within walking distance of the property. In fact, Vida Silvestre is quite a distance from the (lovely) Tulum Pueblo. Taxis to town are plentiful, though, and the distance makes Vida Silvestre feel like a remote and peaceful haven.
During our visit to the Yucatan, we stayed right in town in Playa del Carmen, at an all-inclusive in Cancun, and at Vida Silvestre. Vida Silvestre was by far the best of the three. If you are looking for a completely relaxed, natural, holiday with access to quiet beaches and great restaurants, this is the place for you.
On another note... when you are in Tulum Pueblo, pay a visit to Pollo Bronco. They have the best chicken anywhere, ever!

❤ Thanks for your review! Paradise is missing you. Always welcome back.
All the best
Vida Silvestre was amazing and perfect for our trip. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find ample parking exclusively for Vida Silvestre. We stayed in villa #3, which is right in front of the pool. We barely saw the other tenants during our week there; it was like the whole place was ours. We were always the only ones using the pool too. We were able to access the beach via Dos Ceibas, which is right across the street. The beach there is nice and they allow you to use their lounge chairs and bar. Sonia was a wonderful host: very quick to respond and gave us all the information we needed. Also, the Internet on the property is pretty reliable (not that you'd want to be connected anyway). We will definitely stay here again!
